Tuscarora Crape Myrtle - Coral Pink Flowering Tree - Live Plant Shipped 1 Foot Tall in Gallon Container by DAS Farms (No California)

UPDATE 9/11/2016:I repotted this in a five gallon container with some moss used as a mulch cover, and my tree is thriving. It's gotten taller, and while the original flowers fell off, today I looked and the tree is blooming again. I've been making sure to give it lots of water and sunshine (the sunshine is not at all difficult here in the Arizona desert climate). I did contact the company to ask about watering, as as a novice at growing anything, I was afraid of under or over watering, and they reassured me that as long as their was sufficient drainage, the tree should do fine, and they were right. I've been watering at least twice a week (more if need be), and giving it 8 to 10 cups of water at a time (until I start to see the water draining through the holes in the pot). I also leave the drained water in the dish under the pot, and with our hot climate, this apparently gives the tree the humidity it loves. To anyone hesitant about trying to grow this tree in a container, please know that if I can do it, anyone can, so just go for it.This may be a bit premature, given my propensity for killing plants, but I received this gorgeous Hopi Pink Crapemyrtle today and was totally blown away at how great it looks. Packed beautifully to protect it, and taller than I expected. But the best part was that while I expected bare sticks, I was totally surprised to see leaves, and flowers, and buds.Tomorrow, it's off to the local big box store to get a larger pot for it, along with whatever else it needs to grow and thrive.Thank you for bringing a huge smile to my face, DAS Farms:)

I wouldn’t normally order trees online but they came in perfect condition and growing beautifully.

My tree is doing great and is thriving. Was a little small, but for the price it was decent.

The plant came to me quickly in the Fall. At that point it looked like it was almost dormant for the winter.I live in zone 6, and the plant is supposed to be OK in my climate. I planted it according to instructions, with plenty of extra mulch for the winter.I waited patiently this Spring, and have seen NO growth. No leaves, no nothing. I waited until mid-May (when everything else had started to shoot out leaves) to send DAS a note asking about this. I have received no answer at all. Neither positive nor negative, encouraging nor discouraging.Just wondering whether this is normal... I'd be less upset about the plant if I got some response from them...

The tree arrived well packaged and undamaged. It is just twigs at the moment but that lines up with a similar tree in my garden and hopefully it will flourish when the time is right.I was impressed with the packaging of this item.If, by any chance, it does not do well I will return and advise accordingly but for now I am well pleased. Thank you.EDITED TO SAY:The twig I planted is now budding and looking very healthy. It is a little behind the tree I already have but that is only to be expected as that one has had a couple of years to establish itself.I am very pleased and look forward to seeing the blooms when they appear.

This tree came to me well-packaged, POTTED, and ready to go in the ground. I live in Texas and planted this baby in 100+ temps, full sun. First day, there was some leaf wilting. 48 hours later, it looks like the tree has been well-established and is thriving. See the attached picture. Leaves did not lose any color and are soft, supple. I ordered another crape myrtle from a different vendor, they sent two. These came bare root. They were planted identically to my DAS Farms tree. These only received morning sun. First day, not only did they lose leaves, they lost branches. I moved them into pots/buckets. I hope they make it. See picture. The DAS Farms tree cost me about $5 extra and shipping ... worth every penny. I'm going to order another tree from them to replace the one from the other vendor.

All the other bushes and trees I have ordered this year have had green leaves and even a fruit. These will probably be ok come spring but it will be past the return date if these are duds. The picture showed a blooming plant
