Just Groovy!
I have used Hogue rubber grips with finger groves on several 1911-based pistols and they are excellent grips. They do add a little width to the already wide grip of the P14.45, but they are effective in affording a positive hold on the gun over the stock polymer grips. The finger grooves are well-defined but not overly so. There is plenty of clearance under the trigger guard and a little relief cutout is at the bottom of the grip. Mount one side at a time, stretch the other side of the grip slightly to completely go over the mounting holes. They do not interfere with operation of the safety and mine required no trimming at all. When I first installed them, there was a wide gap in the right tab-to-frame fit. However, simply bending the tab inward slightly removed any gap.As one reviewer mentioned, there may be a gap between the rear grip edge and the frame. This is easily rectified. You see, these grips are rubber-covered plastic (or some derivative thereof). To cure the gap, get a good grip on the grip panel on one side (either side, it doesn't matter). Gently roll the rear of the grip inward slightly with the thumbs while supporting the body of the grip with the fingers. Support the grip panel against your leg if need be. Roll just a little bit at a time. You will feel the grip bend inward, as the edge is thicker than the body. Test fit and repeat as necessary until the gap is gone. Do the same thing with the opposite grip panel and, eventually, the rear of the grip panels will fit flush against the frame. Tighten the screws but do not over tighten, as the frame on this gun does not have inserts like on a lot of 1911-based pistols. If you strip the threads, it will require a gunsmith to straighten things out for you. Take your time and you will be fine. A grip that cost three times more than these would cure the initial grip-to-frame gap but would increase the gap in your grip vs. budget. When finished, the grips will blend in with the pistol and you will have a very nice, comfortable grip to hold onto. While not pretty, they are comfortable and they are functional. If you are looking for a quality set of grips without blowing the budget, these grips are a way to go. They also look good on the pistol whether it is blued steel or stainless.

Para may be gone but....
These fit my Para-14 as advertised. Very comfortable with an acceptable grip tension without feeling "sticky".

Classic Hogue quality
Feels good in the hand with a hint of cushioning. Fits large hands best due to the double stack nature of Para Ordinance p14-45. I’m putting this one on a p14-45 that I’m converting to 45 super so I’ll need all the cushioning I can get!

Worked out great on my Rock Island Double Stack FS Tac. with slight modifications.
I bought this for my Rock Island 45 Double stack Full Size. The screw holes line up about 97% true, but required some minor finagling to make the last screw drop in place. My firearm also has the Magwell Extension on it and it required some grinder modification to fit. (No Magwell extension and your good to go). Since the Mag extension actually takes up some space on the grip, the grip is too long. Instead of having to remove my mag extension, I shorted the grips. 2" on the bench grinder and I removed enough of the bottom on the grip to fit perfect. Just take it slow when removing and keep fitting it to see how much more you need to remove. It give a finished product that it the best feeling grips that you can put on a pistol. The finger grooves really give you anti slip and control. Recoil wont let the gun twist in your hand. If you have small hands, it may be too big for you though. It ads a little diameter to the already fairly large double stack grips. My hand is a medium large and it feels perfect for me. I highly recommend this!

Made for proper P14 designs.
I ordered this for a rock island 1911-a2 tac ultra fs hc. This model features a large magwell. It will still fit this model but only with trimming not only in length but also around the ears at the back and near the ambi safety. So in short these are made for an original Para Ordnance P14 but will fit other brands and models with modifications.

Will fit Rock Island Ultra FC HC 10 mm with some dremel work
I have a Rock Island Ultra FC HC 10 mm and I was able to get these grips to work. I had to use a dremel to take about 1/4 inch off the bottom and 1/8 inch off the top. Also had to make a notch where there is a pin on the rock island so everything would fit right. This took me about an hour and a half. With all my research it looks like this is the only option if you want a finger groove grip on a double stack rock island 10 mm. If you have XL hands you will absolutely love this. If your hands are smaller though, I would steer clear. It is going to take some work to make it fit, but now the gun is exactly what I wanted.

Much better than the old slip on.
Didn’t even know this existed. I’ve had the universal slip on grip on the grip since was bought many years ago. Found it and had to have it. Very pleased!
