My favorite brushes for watercolor
I have 2 of this set. I have tried many brushes over the years. They run the spectrum from very expensive sables to cheap Walmart brands. These Dainayw brushes are my favorite. Very easy to use. They load and hold paint well and flow onto paper beautifully. The tip is a perfect point- not too crazy sharp but I can make very fine lines and detail work. They have kept their shape and held up well after 3 years of use.

I’m pleasantly surprised
These brushes are knock-offs of a more expensive brand and I decided to give them a try because the price was irresistible. I have been very pleased with them so far and at least in my opinion they are every bit as good as the more expensive brand. I can’t really tell them apart.

Nice watercolor brushes
Nice watercolor brushes which perform well for the price. Clearly attempts to imitate the more expensive Silver Black Velvet brushes which are excellent but overpriced. Decent starters watercolor brushes (synthetic squirrel) and would recommend.

my favorite water color brushes
i have been using these brushes for several months now and have found them very versatile and they hold as much paint as you want. a quick dry with a paper towel and a some finger shaping before letting them dry has helped keep a sharp point and i have not had any problems with shedding that are normally associated with cheaper brushes. keeping them on my buy again list.

Great set of brushes
I am by no means a professional artist. I paint for fun, and I wanted a set that would feel nice in my hands and paint well. I use these with my watercolor markers, and I love them. Clean strokes, no shedding, able to hold a good bit of water without dumping it everywhere. Great value! And I love that they come in a case.

Good beginner watercolor brushes
I liked the fact that these brushes are meant ONLY for watercolor. I'm learning to paint with watercolor, and the advice I've been given is to find brushes that were made for watercolor (and no other medium). Fat belly to hold lots of water, delicate with good spring or recoil, narrow/pointed tip. For this price, you get some nice brushes that come in a sleek box that can be used for storage, but if you're an intermediate/advanced watercolor artist, I would recommend investing in some good professional grade brushes. These are good brushes for a beginner to try out while deciding if he or she actually enjoys painting, and they do hold water well, but there are some issues with the brush tips. As you can see in two of the photos, the tips of the brushes don't come to a uniform point. It's just a hair or two off — just bad enough to jack up a semi-detailed watercolor painting, even one for a beginner like me. Trying to paint the tip of a leaf is almost impossible with the small brush because there are 1–2 hairs consistently breaking free of the brush tip. I haven't yet used the larger two brushes yet, but the hairs are uneven on those as well. They don't come to a uniform point, and one of the brushes looks like it's shedding an entire strand of hair. If I had small and very accurate scissors, I would trim off all the rebellious hair in these brushes, but in the meantime, I'll just use surgeon-like precision and concentration to be sure I don't destroy my paintings because of two strands of squirrel hair.
