Perfect for smoothie bowls
This for sure is the original date syrup. This is the first brand that ever had date syrup on the market and I really appreciate this. Rather than using sugar, this is a much better alternative. While I have never baked with it, I love to use it in raw treats like energy balls with oats, coconut oil and pecans, or as a topping for smoothie bowls, this stuff is delicious. I even like it in marinades instead of sugar. For sure dates have much more nutrition than pure white sugar. This stuff is very viscous, I'd say a little more than agave and a beautiful deep dark color. Take note of that if you use it in cookies, the color will be darker than you are used to. As far as packaging, this is not my favorite. Many times the seal has broken or the top doesn't work properly which has left a gooey mess. Otherwise, love it.

Great coffee sweetner
I use the date syrup mainly for sweetening my coffee. It tastes so rich that I don't use milk or cream any more. Date syrup has a lower glycemic index than sugar.
