Works with HP Omen accelerator (GA1-1000.) If yours melts, you probably put it in wrong. Needs to have the blue tab face UP away from the board.

I added new SSD stat drive to Lenovo laptop and It worked as expected, no issues so far!Be sure to find the length of cable needed to connect placement of SSD and connection port

Defective
Buyers beware! Easy to install but defective. When I turned the laptop on it was left at a black screen. After a few seconds I could smell plastic burning and smoke coming out of the vents. It melted the plastic around the ribbon cable and not quite sure if it ruined the drive yet or not.

Worked great.
I had just purchased a new SSD for my laptop, and upon replacing it, noticed the HP Envy has an extra port and space for a second hard drive. This cable fit perfectly and now I have my old hard drive as a secondary hard drive.
