Rosebud Smith's Lip Balm, Rose and Mandarin, 0.8 Ounce

Amazing hydration and softening properties, plus the perfect, almost imperceptible color it imparts, make this an all-star lip treatment. I have super dry, cracked lips that are very sensitive to product, and this is the first lip product I have found that soothes while it gives the perfect amount of natural sheen and a super soft pink color that looks like your natural lip tone (mine are very pale, so on darker lips, color may not show up at all but the shine is amazing). I personally absolutely love the scent, which is not reminiscent at all of citrus- it actually has a spicy, autumnal scent that blends beautifully and uniquely with he soft rose scent customary to Smith's salves. I don't believe it to be overpowering or synthetic-smelling like some have mentioned. In fact, it's my favorite scent so far regarding beauty products of any kind thus far (and this coming from a cosmetic chemist with a beauty blog- aka a product junkie). The very reasonable price tag is icing on the cake, especially seeing as the adorable tin is quite large and will last you at least several months. I recommend it to absolutely everyone!

I love Rosebud Salve and the vintage tins that it comes in. I have tried most of the flavors and wanted to try the Rose and Mandarin one. I hav rmade the following observations for it-Taste: no taste, but there's a slight spice burn on the lips.Scent: Spice and a bit of Mandarin which dissipated in 45 seconds after application.Moisturizing property: Average moisturizing. I re apply every 4 hrs (there's so much of product. Lol)I would give it 3 out of 5 because of the cute Tin color and occupant nature of the salve. I may let the product in the pan melt in the sun (patio) or on the surface of an oven (not the coil) and add some Lanolin that I purchased. This would reduce the fragrance/spice and provide more moisturization.Package: arrived in good condition (on a warm day in Texas) , no melted product.Please click on "helpful" if my review has helped in anyway. I have been a big fan of the Rosebud Smiths lip balm in Rose for many. many years. My love affair with the original has never faltered or ended. However, this balm definitely gives my original love a run for its money. I was intrigued when I saw this on Amazon, as I had honestly never seen this in a store. I love citrus flavors and the idea of the rose and mandarin together caught my attention. I just had to try it. I am not disappointed. Wow! It has a lovely spiced mandarin taste. The rose is very, very subtle. I wasn't sure , after reading other reviews, if I would like the spice element to the balm, but it works beautifully. it leaves my lips wonderfully hydrated. I do have to apply it a few times a day, but that might just be me licking my lips due to the great flavor! The tin is beautiful although it can be a bit hard to open sometimes. The amount of product is great. This will last me a while. I'm actually beginning to wonder how I ever got along without this in my life. In case you can't tell yet, I love this. Very, very happy I found this on Amazon. I would give 10 stars if I could.

I was really happy to get this and try it out since I love this whole product line. I love the way this feels its light and you don't need to reapply all day when using it. I really like putting it on before bed to wake up with soft lips instead of dry cracked ones when the weather is so cold. I may use it 3 times a day mostly after meals to keep my lips soft. It smells really nice like a spicy orange and I have not noticed any flavor so it does not smell all day under your nose. I usually forget I even have it on which I think is a nice touch. If you love the other products I would say you will enjoy this. It seems a bit lighter then the original rosebud but very nice.

I thought I give this product a try due to the positive reviews. I love oranges and anything citrus and bought this one. It smelled like autumn candle...not much of the orange mandarin. It's a very spicy smell, spicy flavor, and my lips burned like I have eaten hot peppers. You don't need very much on your lips...a little goes a long way. It feels like I have a slab of soften butter on my lips. My husband used it and he didn't get the burning sensation like I did. I am keeping this one at home with the lid laying on top. People are not kidding when they say the lid is really hard to open. I would suggest buying a travel size container of your choice and putting the balm into it. You can also reuse Blistex medic container....it has a nice lid.

I think this us by far the best lip balm ever, but the cute little tin it comes in is awful. It's hit or miss getting it opened and extremely frustrating. I had to toss out a half full tin simply because I couldn't twist off the top.
