How easy is it for one person to put together?

VERY easy! I am a 77 year old female who had to buy a hammer and a pair of pliers. Was finished in 10 minutes. Still patting myself on the back!

You will be fine pushing the cart. If going up steps, though, I've found it easier to pull the cart from the back up over the steps. No steps... no problem.

This may seem like an odd question, but are the front wheels easily removable/reattachable?

No they are not easily removable. They are locked in by twisting cotter pins. You would need to un-twist the pins to remove the wheels.
