125 mg elemental iron to fight deficiency tastes ok
If you've ever had your iron crash you know just how miserable it will make you feel. I've always had issues with my iron dipping low here and there but this was the worst yet. No energy, shortness of breath a complete lack of desire to do anything at all...not fun. Once I figured out what was happening, I got some tablet supplements just until I could get to the doctor but what you find on the shelves in most retail stores may not be the best choice for you. There are several different types of iron supplements out there and apparently a lot of argument about which one is most easily absorbed and then the question of whether you should be taking vitamin C with it to increase absorption (apparently one major study indicated C does nothing but it continues to be recommended). On top of everything else there is iron you get from food intake and then other types of iron. As a laymen student of natural healing I've always believed that liquid supplements in some cases are more readily absorbed than something that your body has to break down in the digestive system before it can get the benefits and that's why I looked for a liquid. I've been taking a 25mg tablet for about a month (along with increasing red meat and broccoli consumption) and while I do feel a lot better my stamina still is sorely lacking. I saw a statement in my reading that said that pill form iron is only absorbed about 20% which would seem to support the idea of a liquid even better. From what I've read, it can take several months for your body to restore iron stores after they've fallen into the anemia range of low. I wish somebody offered a home iron test but if there are any, they aren't cheap. Several reviewers of this product stated their iron test benefitted quite a bit using this product for only a month so I'll take the shot as well. Be aware that liquid iron supplements have the bad rap of staining teeth so when I take it I make sure to wash it down with a full glass of water afterwards to get it out of my mouth. The grape flavoring does a good job of making the taste not bad and it comes with a teaspoon inside the box. Be aware this provides almost 700% of the daily recommended iron dose but being a liquid I suspect that's why no one seems to be reporting some of the digestion issues that can come with high doses of an iron supplement (gas, stomach ache etc.). This may not be a supplement you want to take every single day unless you are one of those people with that sort of issue going on, definitely do your research, pay attention to your body and talk to whomever you trust to help you with your health decisions. Low iron sucks best to avoid it if you can for sure. update: There is another liquid iron product sold on amazon that claims to offer the same type of iron supplement, it comes in raspberry or chocolate caramel flavor and is a bit cheaper than this one but it's also a lower dose, 500% compared to 700+% daily recommended dose provided by this one. An 8 ounce bottle is available for not much more than you pay for 4 ounces of this product. I plan to try that one but I want to finish this bottle out first before buying more. If you search on this product name the other one should also come up in the search or you can search by the supplement name polysaccharide iron complex.

Gross but it works wonders! PLEASE READ!
Let me start by saying, I don't work for this company. I wasn't given anything for free. I was not paid to leave this review!! I say this, bc you can never trust reviews anymore. I'm an honest customer who bought this item full price & is leaving an honest review!YES IT'S GROSS:Unlike some ppl I've seen on here, I refuse to give it low stars because of the bad taste. It's not like your buying candy! Yes, it's gross. It tastes like you are eating grape maple syrup out of an old, rusty spoon. I actually tilt my head back and let it pour down my throat. I can still taste it, but it's way better than just spooning it into your mouth. I highly recommend doing it this way.MY STORY:I'm a 34 yrs old female. 5 yrs ago, I had low iron, but now I'm very anemic. My energy level has gotten worse & worse over the years as my iron levels have dropped. I never consistently took iron pills (1-2 pills every other month), because I didn't like how it made me feel backed up. Plus made my poop black. Getting enough iron in my diet is insanely hard, so I think that's why it's gotten worse. The last few months I was basically fed up with being tired all the time & tried looking for options to get a lot of iron without being constipated. That's when I heard about taking liquid iron. And here we are!!FIRST WEEK OF TAKING IT:After 2 days, I felt a difference in my energy level. I was crazy busy & running around all over the place. Normally I would be tired by noon doing HALF of the stuff I was doing, but I actually felt like I had energy all day! I was shocked by this, bc I was pretty skeptical. The whole week seemed awesome, until the end of the week when I forgot to take it for 2 days. I noticed an increase in my fatigue! Maybe it was a busy week, but I swear I'm convinced I was extra tired bc I didn't have my iron.THE POOP SITUATION:Unlike what I was lead to believe, I DID get constipated & my poop DID black. But those first 48 hours of taking it & having energy were so magical, that I decided to outweigh the good with the bad. After a few short days, I think my body adapted & everything seems totally normal in my system. My poop is definitely still black, but I'm going No2 smoothly. It makes me wonder if my body would have adjusted had I just taken my iron pills more than 3 days in a row, but overall I'm 100% positive I never felt energized so quickly with my iron pills as I do with this liquid stuff. So I'm happy w my decision in taking it.MY ANEMIA:Overall, I can only say what this has done to my energy levels. But I cannot say what it's done to my iron levels/anemia, though I'm very curious to know. I do plan on getting blood work done in the next month & I will happily leave an updated review. But for now, I will say I love it!-------UPDATE/EDIT: I got my bloodwork back & the doctor said my blood count was normal. I haven't had a doctor tell me this in years!! I'M NOT ANEMIC ANYMORE! Nothing in my diet or daily life has changed EXCEPT for this liquid iron!! My energy already confirmed this, but glad that the doctor was able to give me my proof w my bloodwork! =) WISH I COULD GIVE IT 20 MORE STARS!!!!!!

Decent quality product, cheap packaging…
I wasn’t totally sure about this iron supplement at first—mainly because the label kind of makes it look like a cheap, off-brand product you’d find in a dusty bin somewhere. But I gave it a shot, and honestly, it’s been working out pretty well. I mix it with water in the morning, and while it clumps a little at first, it dissolves fine with a good shake. The taste is actually better than I expected—slightly metallic (because, well, iron), but not unpleasant or overpowering. Most importantly, it’s been easy on the stomach, which is usually the deal-breaker with iron for me. I haven’t had any nausea or weird side effects, and it’s fitting into my routine without much hassle. Still too early to say if it’s moving the needle on my iron levels, but so far, so good. Not the fanciest packaging, but the stuff inside seems to be doing its job just fine.

Iron boost
Brought my slumping iron levels up in short order ! It has a rather peculiar taste , So I've Resorted to Putting the dose In Coffee pot. I have also mixed it with An afternoon soda. Iron levels Return to normal Rather quickly.
