These things work right out of the box. Simple. Easy to install. Extra length cabling. Adjustable antenna. If you have the one starts complaining. They probably didn't put an SWR meter on it. I saw a huge Improvement once my antenna was tuned. And we have these on three different CBS. Three different Vehicles. Jeep Ford F150 and a Ford Ranger pickup truck. I plan on buying more.

This thing is just plain good all-round. Cool white color, longer whip than most of the bargain brand antennas, spring is done tough, and the build quality excellent. The cable is plenty long enough to reach anywhere you want to mount the antenna, and the magnet is strong as well. When you loosen the adjustment hex screw, you'll find enough extra whip in there to do any SWR adjustment you need. If I needed a second antenna, I would just hit 'Buy Again' and not worry a bit. Also comes with really solid packaging, to boot.

Purchased this antenna for my girlfriend's white Jeep Grand Cherokee. Worked great, but the hex wasn't tightened enough so the spring went missing one of the times she took the antenna off to enter a parking garage. Wasn't able to find a replacement spring so I had to order an entire new replacement. Just make sure the hex screw is torqued down real tight and you'll be just fine.

Stock it only had low SWR on channel 1 but easy enough to cut a 1/2" off at a time (only required 1" off) until it covered the whole band nicely :-) . Great antenna for a good price.

Set screw was to small and would not screw in. Cable was very thin . Magnet was tiny . You could see the copper wire that was pushed into the spring to make connection.

I like it's actual functionality, but I was very displeased when I removed it to wash my truck and it scratched my paint.

Great antenna for the price. Talked with several people up to 10 miles away the first day. I adjusted the SWR pretty low using my antenna analyzer. The car surface acts as part of the antenna so if you move the antenna, the SWR may change and require re-adjustment. This is also true if you move it to another vehicle. The magnet is plenty strong for normal interstate highway speeds.
