The bristles are thick and sturdy. I used this brush to splatter stars on my child's wall. Works better than anything else I tried.

Happy With My Splatter Brush Purchase
I waited to buy because of the price because any artist knows that art supplies can add up and be costly especially for quality artist supplies and tools. And now that I have the splatter brush, my only thought is, "Why did I not buy this sooner?"Liquitex makes quality products and this brush is one of them. I like the control that the splatter brush offers and the preciseness. I also use it to make unique marks and shapes in my art work. It is a good artist investment.

Bristles are incredibly firm & too short
I’ve had the brush 2 weeks now & I just can’t call it. Of course Liquitex makes quality brushes. I needed a brush for moving paint around on large canvases. The handleless design was my top priority. I can retain a tight grip on it with a wet hand, which is essential.Problems: the bristles. They are the most firm bristles that I’ve ever used. Great for moving paint anywhere, but with bad for blending or overworking those base colors. * The bristles are so short that they even get overworked with the small amount of paint needed on a 12x12 canvas. The only solution when painting extra large canvases has been to add small amounts of paint at a time. Such short bristles that are as firm definitely create a unique brush; from now on I’ll reserve my Liquitex purchases for paint & mediums.

Love these brushes
These are excellent for acrylics. I use them for blending backgrounds they're really soft and don't shed AT ALL, even at first. Haven't had any issues with the glue/bristles coming loose even after pretty heavy use.
