Wood Veneer, Birch, White Rotary, 2 x 8, 10 mil Paper Backer

I used this veneer to cover the ugly exterior ply revealed after removing the wrap from an old Tama birch floor Tom in order to add it to my Gretsch Catalina Birch Kit without it looking like a turd in a punch bowl.Amazingly it matches the rest of my drums perfectly!!Anyone Who’s worked with real wood Venere knows that it’s unusual for a project to go exactly as planned, but sure enough, it did.This Venere took the wood stain like a champ, then a dozen coats of lacquer, five weeks, a few hours of 2500 grit wet sanding (by hand), Five rounds of polishing compound, three rounds of Maguires automotive grade polish Later, dressed, tuned, and finally placed next to the 14x14 floor Tom and...Wow It Looks F#cking Gorgeous!It was a long process but a labor of love, and Worth every second given the outcome.And it sounds fantastic too!!

Good quality veneer. Needs a decent sanding to get all the "hair" off.

The Birch veneer I got was very nice and easy to use- it glued up nice and is very smooth. finishing it will be easy with a little light sanding and then varnish- good product and am happy with it!!

I have never really built anything in my life, so I decided to build an almost 16 foot entertainment center / dining room buffet -- with an 18 inches depth -- why start small.Using the Kreg system (Building cabinets for Dummies 101 -- money very well spent!), I needed veneer for the cabinet sides that would be visible. This veneer was very easy to apply, using contact cement, and you can not beat the price. Stained very well.

It is a very good, thick and strong veneer. however it is glued-up strips, not a continuous cut. It is also fairly bland, with minimal figures. It depends on taste.

The sheet I received had three seams across it which made it really difficult to cut into the sized strips I needed for my project. 4x8 sheets of plywood at big box stores have a cleaner veneer than this product. Super disappointed, especially for the price.

This veneer was easy to apply and stained up beautifully, it was easy to cut and shape, will probably end up buying more in the future for additional projects.
