Good finishing rouge
This is good finishing rouge at a good price. It is not very aggressive, and wouldn't be very effective on rough surfaces. I use it on homemade knives.

Don't waste your money on the cheap stuff!
Much better cutting action and longer lasting than the cheaper brands.

Hard to apply, but great action.
This bar is very brittle and dry. I had a hard time applying a sufficient anount to a leather strop without making a huge mess. Eventually I used a heat gun on the strop, and then it pasted on OK.Once loaded, however, it absolutely works. Took out the scratches and put a fair polish on my chisels, knives, and leather working tools. A little more time with some green compound and they're shiny as can be.It's a huge bar and it doesn't take much to load a strop or wheel. This should last me for a very long time.

Big mistake
I am polishing my vintage airstream. I am on the last section and ran out of the polish that I was using bought this brand instead. Big mistake. Does not work half as well as the stuff I was using. Plus added deep scratches when I use the red route. I looked on the box to see where it was made. It doesn’t say where it was made just for who it was made for. I think this probably came out of China where they dumped a bunch of crap they didn’t want. The label says use the best. Some bean counter at that company tried to save a buck stepped over a buck and picked up a dime.
