I bought this battery despite all of the bad reviews thinking it may be just user error as to why a lot of people were saying these batteries do not work. It was delivered to my door and I replaced the battery in my 3DS XL. I was unable to turn my 3ds on, no big deal, probably just dead. I then put my 3DS on the charger. It would not charge my 3DS, the charging light would flash on for a second then fade to black. I thought ok, no big deal. Sometimes you get a dud.I ordered a replacement. My replacement came yesterday, installed it, and everything actually worked great! I was overjoyed, finally I’d have the beefy DS I’ve dreamed of. There was 1 time though playing my DS randomly turned off. I thought to myself maybe something was loose? No big deal.Today, my DS was completely dead, this took. Me by surprise because just last night the battery was at full capacity. I tried plugging it in to the charger and to my surprise it does not charge. So now I’ve had to return both of them.Also one minor complaint, the screwdriver it comes with is quite annoying to work with, its very sharp, which has scratched the paint off my back screws. Just something to consider if you are trying to keep your 3DS mint.I would love to find a beefy battery for my 3DS, but these simply are not it, sis.

I installed the battery in my 3DS XL and it worked, however using a homebrew application that is supposed to check your battery condition, it seemed to run out of power in what appeared to be the same amout of time. So the capacity might not be quite accurate but it has at least done its job.

Needed a replacement battery for my Nintendo 3DS XL that's exactly what I received. Couldn't be any happier great battery easy installation very satisfied with my purchase.

Worked for a while, but the battery eventually swelled. Didn't last as long as the original OEM battery (which I replaced for the same reason). Probably best to just stick with official nintendo battery, despite the price and this one claiming to have higher capacity. I never timed the battery life for either one, and don't play in long enough sessions to kill the battery, so any difference was imperceptible to me.
