Works great, but you must match with the correct Cisco switch
This SFP fiber adapter is compatible with Cisco's SG-200 and SG-300 line of Ethernet switches. It may be compatible with others, but it definitely works in these -- I tested it thoroughly. Another reviewer complained that this is a rebranded part which won't work in Cisco switches. It's not rebranded, it's a genuine Cisco-manufactured part. It's not from Linksys (which was spun out of Cisco some time ago). However, it isn't designed to work in Cisco's Enterprise-grade Catalyst switches. Catalyst SFP modules have completely different part numbers. The good news about the Cisco SG300 line (but not the SG200) is that this switch now runs a bonafide version of Cisco's IOS software, making it compatible with the IOS Command Line Interface (CLI). The IOS enhancement also completely revamped the GUI interface, which is excellent. Take care, however, to remember to save any configuration changes you make, whether by CLI or GUI. Unlike other low-cost managed switches, the SG300 does not save automatically save configuration changes (this is the behavior of Cisco's Catalyst line switches also, so Cisco is just being consistent).

Work perfectly
I ordered two of these to link two SG-300 switches via 75m of OM-3 fiber by Ultra Spec Cables ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006KSVDCK ). The fiber link was dead-simple to set up-- just plug in and the link is up. The finer link is reliable over reboots of either switch. Some reviews of other-branded GBICs indicate they may not come up upon switch power cycling-- the lack of any problems whatsoever with this fiber link was worth the extra I paid for the Cisco-branded GBICs. FWIW, I am very happy with the fiber by Ultra Spec Cables hotlinked above for linking these GBICs.

Didn't work
Didn't receive for 3 weeks then it didn't work. Company wouldn't take back return because they used original shipping date for 30 days

Just what we needed
Purchased this for work when our switch box went out. I plugged it in and worked perfect.

Nice and easy
A seemingly simple device which actually does something very cool. For the user, though, it's a piece of cake - insert the fiber, plug into the switch, done.

Item is NOT made by Cisco
Description says it's a Cisco transceiver, and the picture is of a Cisco transceiver but it's a Linksys.

Plug it in, hook it up. Dead simple. Even found out these things are hot-swappable (not sure if they are supposed to be, though)

Five Stars
Easy to install and works well connecting two buildings to a single ISP service.
