Used to seal driveway with a powerful solvent based sealer.

I had to buy a heavy duty sprayer for a concrete sealer I was using that was solvent based. It has to be able to stand up to the product itself and to being cleaned with a solvent as well. In this regard this product fits the bill.Where the issues lie are twofold:Maintaining a seal: The main O ring does not like to stay in place. It moves freely and does not always line up correctly so once you pump it up, air leaks around it and you hear the hiss of air escaping. The other place where air will leak is from the seal where the trigger assembly meets the wand. These issues are a major PITA.Uneven spray pattern: When working properly, even the very first time I used it, the spray pattern is uneven. It sprays essentially in a flat line. The top and bottom of the line are much thicker and the spray in between is much, much thinner. This unevenness makes spraying an even amount of product impossible.While I’m kind of stuck with what I have I truthfully wouldn’t recommend it to others, at least not if you need an even spray. While I don’t think this was cheap, many other heavy duty or industrial sprayers were much more expensive. Some more than twice as much. Since I really only need this for this one project, I didn’t want to spend more, but I’m regretting that decision now.Chapin is supposed to be a quality product but this particular item does not impress me at all.

This is great every thing sprayer i use it for spraying harsh cleaners, to spraying weed killers. The long wand is also helpful.

Upon examination, lives up to Chapin's reputation for quality, but not the best choice for landscape work. I'm returning this one and ordering Chapin 21230XP, which has the following advantages:1) Translucent container, vs. opaque on this one.2) Comes with adjustable cone nozzle, vs. 0.5 GPM fan nozzle on this one.3) Includes filter on outlet tube, not on this one.21230XP has "Viton® Seals in necessary key areas", maybe not as good as nitrile seals (overall?) on this one, but probably more than adequate for landscape chemicals.Edit: After buying and using 21230XP I'm withdrawing recommendation for landscape use. The problem is that it dribbles after shutoff. See my review of it for more details. 22090XP probably has the same issue, since it's also lacking "dripless shut-off" feature.

I used 1 time to spray acetone stain n the hose collapsed, replaced hose with a piece of fuel line

I bought it knowing it had been either used or was scratched and dented. Was looking forward to its use when I noticed the neck of the pump was broken rendering it inoperable. I'm sure it would have worked fine except for that minor issue! Amazon immediately refunded the money and accepted the item returned at their cost.

I purchased this sprayer to spray my driveway with sealer it does not work for that purpose, it completely clogged the sprayer and it took me hours to unclog it. It will not, work with anything denser than water. As I cannot return it now that I have used it I will have to use it in my greenhouse and for spraying sealer on my deck where it should work.

very happy with this. easy to use, easy to clean. the only thing i'd critique if i must is that the nozzle is not adjustable for spray pattern. but i am totally happy with my purchase.

The unit came without the required pickup tube. Without it, the unit is useless

Works good. Used it for sealing my cement driveway. Clean up was easy as well.
