I've had this air purifier for almost a year now, I bought it at the height of the wildfires in California in 2020. But I wanted to write this review about last night! Late at night I turned on a space heater in our bathroom and in a moment I realized it was burning up! I quickly unplugged it and took it out of the house but the smell was terrible snd persistent. I did try to ventilate the house thoroughly but the odor did find its way into our bedrooms. I turned on the air purifier and yes it did work! I was so relieved that we could sleep without breathing possibly toxic fumes. The sound it makes is comparable to that of a white noise machine and easy to sleep with. When I woke up in the morning the bedroom window was still open and I got a gust of the perfume odor from my neighbor's laundry in the room too. I hoped for the best and yes, the Germ Guardian was still running and soon the room smelled fresh again. Our bedroom is around 12 ft by 16 ft and it seems to work fine. I'm happy I chose this item!

seems to work great used it in small (110 sq foot) bedroom on the side of the house that never gets any sunshine. we keep the door shut and the room always had a mustiness about it. Put this in place on the end table at low speed (4 speeds - sleep very silent - low white background noise like a small fan - med like a large fan - high like a vacuum cleaner maybe not quite that bad) low speed seems fine. we leave it on all the time and its just loud enough to be soothing. Musty smell gone within 24 hours and has never come back. Since this is a bedroom and closed off we choose this unit with out uv (no ozone produced) it just has the hepa and charcoal filters. Been operating about a week so I can't speak to longevity or filter life, but it's simple to use and maintain and seems to be a study, well made device.

I've had this for a little over 2 months when it died. I requested a replacement from Amazon, which is what I am using now. I don't see a filter lasting 6 months in my home. It's already fully coated with dust after 2 months, may last only 3-4 months at best. I bought a replacement filter at the time I made the original unit purchase. I would suggest having one handy if your environment is dustier than advertised for.I really like the design and operation of this air filter system. I use the filter in my bedroom, for the filtering ability (allergies) and for white-noise. I would like to see a more noticeable difference in the three speeds--I keep it on high, but find it's a bit too quiet for sleeping. The turbo setting is great to use after dusting and vacuuming the room. The fact that it failed to run in such a short time has me concerned about the quality of this product. I doubt Amazon will let me exchange this for a new one every two months. Assuming this was only a fluke, I would consider this to be an excellent choice for a small room air filtering system.

We have been looking for an air purifier for our home. As a mom of 3 along with two dogs my husband and myself are always looking to make sure the quality of our indoor air is excellent. We were aware from a friend that Germ Guardian makes some really good air purifiers. In looking at all their options we knew we wanted HEPA filtration. And an air purifier that will also fight odors. With only a smaller space to place this in our home - we found this air purifier to be perfect fit. Right size and still has all the features we desired to improve our home air quality. Ready to run right out of the box with easy to use controls. After just a few nights running we have already noticed the improved air around our home. Highly recommend and completely satisfied!

True HEPA filter replacements are pricey, but you will notice the difference! I put this next to my cat litter boxes to keep dust and odor under control. The boxes are in my office / crafting room, and I can now spend all day in the tiny room without being sickened by the litter dust and odors. It is very quiet on all but the turbo setting. The noise is a non-jarring white noise that isn't unpleasant, but also very easy to drown out with headphones. I keep it on medium speed and turn to turbo when cleaning the litter to capture the dust. My nose and lungs are happy

Because of this coronavirus, I have to stay home all the time. I purchased this product to clean the air in the house. It is working pretty well. You can not even hear it working. It is very silent and the size is not very big. It is running days and still, everything is good.

Love it! It’s lightweight, quiet, and best of all is you can actually feel it working when you breathe. I bought a couple purifiers when my little ones had a cold a couple months ago and it definitely helped them sleep better at night. Of course a humidifier helps too. I have one on the nightstand next to my bed and barely notice it. I sleep better now too!

Seems to work well.A bit loud.The quiet option only turns on at night.For daytime operation, you need to use the 2nd lowest speed, which itself is pretty loud if you are using it in a room and you are studying, or even watching tv with moderate volume.The lowest daytime option sounds as loud as a bathroom fan.Not sure exactly how efficient it is, since it does not seem to get rid of all odors in a room.Hopefully it cleans the air better than it removes odors.
