Writes smoothly
The lead needs writes very smoothly and the color is beautiful. It also has a loop if you want to put it on a chain

Great for artist!!!
I got this for art, and it’s honestly way better than a regular mechanical pencil. The lead rotates automatically, so you don’t get those annoying thick edges that make shading uneven. Lines stay sharp and consistent without having to adjust how you hold it.Pros:✔ No chisel tip – Perfect for clean, precise lines.✔ Glides smoothly – No scratchiness or skipping.✔ Lightweight but sturdy – Feels good in hand without being too heavy.✔ Refillable – No need to keep buying new pencils.Cons:✖ The grip isn’t cushioned, so if you prefer a softer hold, it might take some getting used to. I added a squishy pencil grip to mine.✖ The lead rotation works best with consistent pressure, so it might not be as noticeable if you do a lot of light sketching or if you don't lift you're pencil for long periods of time.Final Thoughts:If you sketch or do line work, this is a solid upgrade from a regular mechanical pencil. The self-sharpening feature keeps lines crisp, and it just makes the whole drawing process smoother. Definitely worth it!!!

The lead seems to last forever.
Great pencil. The lead seems to last forever. I've been using it for 3 or 4 months and have not had to replace the lead yet. Really nice fluid writing.

Great for note taking!
I prefer 0.5 lead in my pencils because I write pretty small. Up until now, I was using my architectural drafting pencils to take notes but they are metal and don't have very comfortable grips, this pencil is way more comfortable to hold for the hours I'm in class taking notes. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the spinning lead but I think it's really nifty, I still adjust my grip out of habit to keep a sharp edge but I don't need to with this pencil.Bonus points, it is super cute! I ordered the pink, love it! I plan on ordering a couple more in other colors so I can keep one in my backpack for on campus classes and another one at my desk for online classes. For folks who are particular about their writing utensils, this is a great pencil! The only thing I am not as big of a fan of is the eraser, it's a great quality eraser but small so I think I'll go through it quickly. I find the replacement erasers aren't as good quality but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

The Kurutoga 0.5 mechanical pencil offers a unique twist on the traditional mechanical pencil design with its innovative rotating lead mechanism. This concept alone is enough to capture the attention of any pencil enthusiast. As a writer who values precision and consistency, I was intrigued by the promise of a constantly sharp lead, and the Kurutoga 0.5 delivered on that front. One of the standout features of this pencil is its rotating lead mechanism. With each stroke, the lead automatically rotates to maintain a sharp point, resulting in more consistent and precise lines. This is especially beneficial for any task that requires a clean and sharp mark. The rotation is smooth and subtle, almost unnoticeable during use, yet it makes a noticeable difference in the quality of the writing or drawing experience.while the rotating lead mechanism is impressive, the eraser end of the Kurutoga 0.5 feels rather cheap. The plastic used for the eraser cap and the eraser itself lacks the same durability and quality as the rest of the pencil. The cap sometimes comes off easily, and the eraser tends to wear down quickly, requiring frequent replacement. This is a slight disappointment considering the overall build quality of the pencil. When it comes to the eraser end, which feels cheap and lacks the same level of quality as the rest of the pencil. Nevertheless, if you prioritize performance and enjoy the novelty of a rotating lead, the Kurutoga brand will most likely be your go to!(My recent Amazon purchase was the baby pink variation of this pencil, below will include my opinion on this variant.)The pink variant of the Kurutoga 0.5 mechanical pencil exudes an undeniable charm and cuteness that can instantly capture the attention of those who appreciate a touch of whimsy in their stationery collection. The color choice is not only visually appealing but also adds a touch of personality to the pencil. The packaging it had arrived in, was also to my pleasing! It consisted of the thin cardboard base most mechanical pencils come in, but it also had a plastic front to show the pencil off, which wasn't glued/taped to the cardboard, I believe this touch was refreshing to see and very innovative!!!:D
