Feel cool in this multi-functional performance fabric. The Enduracool Multi-Cool is made from a proprietary performance fabric that instantly cools when soaked with water, wrung out, and then snapped in the air to activate the cooling properties. Designed to be functional and versatile, the Multi-Cool can be worn in over 12 different ways to help you keep cool, and protect yourself from the sun's harmful rays. The proprietary technology works by absorbing moisture and perspiration into the fabric core where the unique radiator-like fiber construction circulates water molecules and regulates the rate of evaporation to create a prolonged cooling effect.

top choice so far
quite pleased with this purchase so far. have been experimenting with different types. initially got a columbia zero freeze on sale at the outlet. . . with discounts about $10 from $20. But color selection was extremely limited at the time - blue or neon green. Took the columbia fishing/hiking, etc It was a little thick, but long, allowing all neck gaiter options. Then bought the 12-in-1 from Tough on Amazon for $8. That wasn't as good. It's cut too short to be as versatile, but did provide a lot of color options. I'm using it during the winter to walk the dog. This Mission, I got on Amazon for sale $11. It's got good length for versatility, and seems light. I bought it late in the season, but I'm thinking it should work as a cool-down better than both the columbia and the tough due to it's light nature. however, it's still woven well enough to keep in the warmth - using it biking during the winter. i suppose what I need to do next is get the original Buff for comparison. . . but those are expensive and are mostly patterned (if you like that)

Cooling wrap that works
This product is a life saver especially for those who are sensitive to heat. It really works and brings lasting cooling for your comfort. The design makes it easy to use in many ways. Very versatile. Great for working out in the garden or outside in the hot sun. Keeps cool without dripping all over you or your clothes. Great idea for athletes. Makes a nice gift idea. Packs really well, not heavy or bulky.

Grand Canyon summer hiking approved UPDATED
Wore this during the end of July hiking from the South Rim to Phantom Ranch and back. When we got down to the Colorado River the temperature gauge at the foot bridge read 120 degrees. Wore this around my neck the entire trip and it worked like a champ. In the dry heat conditions you will have to apply water more frequently but if it's kept moist it will help you stay cool.In contrast I also use this in the middle of summer when kayaking my local rivers. On a certain 9 mile trip after initially applying water I've found the band stays wet and is still cooling by the time I'm finished paddling. I was originally a skeptic of this product but this is one case I'm glad I took the chance because it has earned go-to status in my warm weather kit.UPDATE: I just ordered this year's new high viz yellow color to go with the original sand color I used last year. I have to say the reduction in size from last year's model is disappointing to say the least. I love the high viz yellow color and reflective material but I have a tiny head and it's almost too tight to stand to be worn as a headband. Now I understand what some other reviewers have been saying about it being just too tight and small overall. No kidding, it seems the company wanted to save some money by making these smaller by using far less material. At the current price point it's a shame really, while the new colors are nice, the overall utility for those with average sized heads has been greatly reduced. Buyer beware, I had to knock a star off my original five star review because for many the headband function is now a complete afterthought.

Perfect!
Bought this as a birthday present for my husband. Mowing the lawn in Florida in the summer, he used to use one of those orange towels, which after one use would basically turn into cardboard. Plus, they were awkward and can only be draped over your shoulders. The design of this is perfect. Besides the material being great, and the fact that it stays cool, you can wear it so many different ways!

Great so far
I live in Texas so temp and humidity can be a big problem when I'm riding my motorcycle.I pull it up to cover just below my eyes and put my helmet on. Surprisingly it stays on and it definitely keeps me cool around my neck, face, and top of my head. I used it when it hit 101 the other day and humidity was bad. I don't feel sunburn at all even when most of my rides are in the city.

Does cool a little but nowhere near as effective as the other one I own.
I bought two brands of cooling towel types of products because "Record heat" in California is not something you want to hear, especially when you have MS and get pretty sick when it's too hot.Besides this I also bought the Mission Enduracool Techknit Towel, Digital Camo Grey, Large (which hasn't yet arrived) and the Ergodyne Chill-Its Cooling Towel.Although the Chill-its is a towel and this is a band of fabric, I have to compare the two until the towel arrives. This one should, in theory, be my fave. It's made of an actual fabric while the Chill-Its is almost like a mini yoga mat. So yes, this one wins the comfort battle. But I find that this Mission Multi-Cool simply does not cool as well as the Chill-its. This has about the cooling factor of being in a wet bathing suit. Sure it's chilly when it first hits the air but then, the effect is gone. Snapping it does reset it -- but even indoors on a not so hot day with a breeze going through the apartment, this had little effect. I had to snap it about even 15 minutes. If you'll be in a place when you can re-soak it in water often, then this is okay. If you want serious cooling and don't care as much about comfort go with the Ergodyne Chill-Its Cooling Towel (they have a microfiber version which I have not tested because I've already spent enough on these cooling items for now).

Great for work
Husband likes these for work. He wears them for sweat absorption and they work great and are just right enough to not fall off or slip around.
