Repurchased after many years
I loved this bag in high school so, so much. I used it as a purse for a long time. It's perfect for a grungy aesthetic lol. It's very simple and sturdy and can take a beating. It doesn't have pockets or separate compartments, though, so if that's a feature you're looking for, you'll want something else. I am happy I repurchased this eight years later!

Make your own first aid kit
The first aid kits that are pre-made are generally not well done and are way more expensive than if you bought your own items individually. Plus, if you organize your own first aid kit, you can customize what you need and will have a better idea where to locate the needed items. I suggest buying clear sided containers to separate out different categories inside the bag. This is also large enough to accommodate what you will need depending on your individual circumstances. I suggest looking up first aid kits on the web to get an idea what you might need. I made up first aid kits for both cars and our home.

Nice bag, wish it had magnets to attach the straps.
Nice bag, wish it had magnets to attach the straps to the bag instead of buckle type.

Two Years Later, Still Holding Up
I've had this for a couple years now and it's still going strong in spite of how many pins and patches I sew onto it. It's big enough to hold my kindle, my clutch wallet, my sketchbook and my pencil case with room to spare. It's sturdy and has no pockets- which I prefer because it's easier to see everything in the bag. It's not a purse like another reviewer complains, but it's definitely not the size of a messenger bag. In spite of this it still holds quite a few items. I've taken it to conventions and fit my sweater inside of it with my other belongings (yes it was rather puffy but it still fit). Some folks find the fact it's a real buckle rather than snaps a draw back, but when you are in an area where you are afraid of sticky fingers, the buckles become a blessing rather than a curse- making your bag more secure.I think the biggest plus is for the price and how well it's made it's easily modified for your geeky tastes. It'd take well to patches and buttons for all sorts due tot he canvas material.

Actually Pretty Good
I wore this bag weekly in a very busy environment, and was constantly using it, so the straps experienced a lot of wear and tear and eventually broke after a year, but was more than happy to buy a second one, which I treated with more care and then eventually handed it off to a friend in good condition after another year. Just for reference, I would estimate that it could fit about three 1'1/2 inch empty binders not in weight but just size. I carried an extremely full 1'1/2 inch binder and a First Aid kit in there 24/7 and it all fit fine. Definitely would recommend
