Does the job well
I could not find the original plate for my tripod head. This replacement works very well and is well made. In fact, it is identical to the original. The price was good for a Manfrotto product.

Reliable!
I bought this Manfrotto Mounting Plate for one of my tripod heads which I use with my spotting scope at the range. I really like this Manfrotto plate because it's strong, it's reliable, and once mounted into the tripod head, it doesn't move at all! That makes using the spotting scope 100% easier at the range, even on windy days (outside mountain range). Manfrotto is a great name in photography and I've got a few more of these mounting plates for my camera sets and tripods. Never a problem using them as they're just down right reliable and strong. Very happy with this purchase!

Works Exactly as Advertised
I bought this to use on a Manfrotto 410 Junior Geared Head which someone left to me after they moved away. Happy to say it works as advertised and keeps my heavy camera/lens combos securely attached with no play between the plate and tripod head. The whole thing is metal (except the camera grip part) and I can see no problems with this head supporting the 11 lbs that is advertised. In fact I'm sure it can support a little more. It comes with two screws, a 1/4" and 3/8" for maximum flexibility. They're easily removed too, just peel back the rubber cover and slide the screw out.

Manfrotto 410PL RC4 Quick Release Adapter Plate
I chose the Manfrotto 410PL quick release plate RC4 with my Manfrotto 468MG ball head. The RC4 and associated connect housing has a number of features that the RC0, RC2, RC3 and RC5 plates assemblies don't offer. The RC4 has a large foot print which provides a large lens with additional support and stability. It also has locking, which prevents accidental releasing which could result in possible dropping the lens/camera. The lens is secure. No accidental release. To release, the release button must be pressed and held while the lever is moved to the unlocked position.Mounting is very ease. After securing the plate to the lens/camera, insert the right side of the plate underneath the right bracket and slowly lower the left side until it snaps into place. Whet is snaps into place, the lever will automatically move to the lock position. The plate is shipped with 3/8" and ¼" screw for your camera/lens mount. Two bubble levels are mounted into the RC4 base plate--one on the side and the other on the top. This will indicate level regardless of whether the lens/camera is vertical or horizontal.I purchase five of the RC4 plates, one for each lens and camera. Great plate well made worth the price and Manfrotto quality built in.

Best option to use ON EVERY HEAVY telephoto LENS tripod collar !!
This Manfrotto 410PL Quick Release Adapter Plate RC4 is excellent and cheap. It comes with the Manfrotto Junior Geared High-Precision Fluid Tripod Head. I use this head when I go out in the car, because it is heavy (1.22 kg), large and also the tripod that I use with it is very heavy. However, on certain occasions (not all) this type of equipment is necessary to work with heavy lenses.I love working with this nice heavy 3-axis head !! That's why I put a plate to each tripod collar of each of the heavy lenses, such as the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 300mm 1:4 ED (1,442 kg) and the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 200-500 1:5.6E ED VR (2.3 kg).

quick change plate
The plate does hold the camera correctly but if you have a Canon 180mm L Macro lens (this lens has its own ring on it) you cannot have a battery grip on the 5D Mk II camera. It will not work on any Canon camera with a grip(built in or added) with this lens. Other then that the plate attaches firmly and I don't worry about the camera shake attributed to mounting plates. I have used it on my 70-200 lens and everything works well.

Genuine Manfrotto!
I've ordered other brand plates and they never fit right. This is the real deal and fits my 405's perfect. Need to order a couple more for backups
