Although they are made in China, I have no problem recommending these safety shears. They have a home in my trauma kit and I’ve proven that they can cut through just about anything.They are well-made with a solid steel rivet that doesn’t have any excess play. The handles are molded perfectly into the steel shanks and comfortable to use even when cutting through tough material.There is a small divot on the back side of the handles for cutting wire or cord.I’ve tested these out on thick leather, and they cut through it with no problem. I’m not only have no problem recommending this, but I think they are a good value at this price point.

Cheap shears fail to cut through my cat's thickly matted fur. The blades bend and don't cut. Quality shears like these can be relied upon for tough jobs.

They are well constructed seem like a good product. But these were purchased with other items for a first aid kit. So until I have to use them for what they are intended for I can only speculate as to whether they will work out.

These scissors are extremely reliable and durable. They open and close easily and are great for cutting through rough materials (bandages, jeans). They are light weight and fit in my cargo pant scrub pocket perfectly.

I’m an EMT and I tend to either lose my scissors or when they are snapped into my pants pocket it comes un snapped and since I’m short I tend to get caught on things and they get loose and fall out somewhere. I loved my all black ones so I wanted to find a similar style, they cut very well even though I haven’t had or needed the actual use for them yet.

I purchased these shears, along with a pair of the $ 5.99 Trauma shears that I was going to use as household/utility scissors. These shears are such a better product ( head and shoulders above ) than the $ 5.99 pair, that I am only using the Swiss Safe trauma shears for everything and I am going to buy another pair for backup, in case they get lost. Do yourself a favor and get best QUALITY instead of best PRICE !!
