Arducam Multi Camera Adapter Module V2.2 for Raspberry Pi 5, 4B, Compatible with Rasperry Pi Camera Module 3/V2/V1, and 12MP IMX477 Cameras

After trying to figure out on programming this adapter and getting it to work its been nice to have something that would work using 4 cameras at the sametime! Definitely going to buy another somewhere in the future!

This is a outdated product that does not do many things. I managed to get four cameras to take picture one by one, and could not get further. I searched online material, and it seems that is all this product is capable of. Contacted their customer support but very soon get ditched after got only a couple of responses.Don't waste your money on this.

I'm using it for a multi camera rover. One camera is Arducam 5MP motorized focus, another 5MP fixed, and I'm not sure yet what the others will be. I have only tested it with two cams so far and it works well. But here are a few caveats: (While I wasn't the programmer, I purchased it) First for some reason we had to start with the first camera in port D not A as you might suspect. It could have been just our implementation, but my understanding we made very few changes to the example code. Second, the provided cable did not work. While it looks identical to the official Rpi camera cable, the Rpi cable worked. I only thought to try swapping cables, because someone else left a review mentioning the same thing. Otherwise we would have blamed the board and/or software.

At first I had some trouble with this product and support was very helpful going through everything step by step. It turned out I had a cable backwards and that the product works perfectly!

Bought this item in February, bought different sets of camera. Started working on setting it up, going through programming to set up. After a week of working with programming could not get it work, not that it didn't work correctly just would not show a picture from any of the different camera set sets used. Contacted arducam for assist, was informed on on going issue and my ticket wod be sent to tech. So I am only righting this so that you will be informed before purchasing.Might purchase a new board in hopes that the different board may have a chance.

Documentation is fine - there is Python and C++ demo scripts. Readme is most relevant to C++, but I was able to figure out the Python version pretty easily. The Multicam adaptor does work, but unfortunately it doesn't work consistently. One day it will work great and be able to switch between cameras or run cameras simultaneously. But the next day, you'll get errors without having made any changes. If they can address stability, it is a great solution.

I was not able to get it to work on my Raspberry Pi 4 at first, I was doing something wrong the first time I tried. But now I have it working on my Raspberry Pi 4b. The part I don't like is I try emailing the company for help, but didn't get any help from them.

Great product. If you can read the instructions that come with it everything works as expected.
