Great home taste for the holidays.

German decent. Remember my mom getting sent these from my Oma back in Germany or going to commissary on military base. Adult now and no access to either. Great way to pass on traditions with my family. Very yummy just like you remember them.

Product was delivered the same as other orders from Amazon. Not sure if it was the cold, but the first package that I opened appeared to be stale. I have purchased these type of German gingerbread cookies before, but these were hard with no taste.

I wish there was more cookies in one box and that they were not so pricy.

The gingerbread cookies were GOOD! Soft, coated on both sides with sugar icing that gave them crunch. This would have been a 4 or 5-star review except for one thing: The package is SMALL! I mean, really small, when you actually see it, much smaller than I expected from the Amazon photos.That wouldn't normally be enough to drop my rating down to 3 stars, except for the fact that I paid over $12 for this little package of 6 cookies that I would have expected to cost maybe $4 in a supermarket. And to be honest, although the cookies were pretty good, I could have gotten pretty similar cookies at a local bakery for a fraction of the price.I'd ordered these as part of a set of Xmas gifts, but they were so tiny that I would have been embarrassed to give them.I wouldn't order this product again.

I fell in love with these delightful cookies long ago and purchase them as soon as they become available every year. If you're expecting the usually bland gingerbread made in America, you will be pleasantly surprised by the more intense flavor these cookies offer. If the sugar glaze doesn't appeal to you, this company also makes the exact same cookie but with chocolate icing; both are wonderful. Yes, they are pricey - but worth it!
