Works well and easy to install

Matched the old one that I removed. Easy to wire. Looks great and aligns perfectly. I like the red-light notification when the GFI outlet is in need of replacement.

The product works as it should. I replaced a faulty existing GFCI outdoor. Installation was pretty easy since everything was well-labeled. Material and screws maybe not be the best quality but you cannot beat the price.

I installed this by copying the configuration of the old contractor's socket. Come to find out, this socket is wired differently. The connections are 180 degrees off from my last docket. It wan't too hard to figure out, but I'm just trying to save you some frustration.

When I was told my bathroom outlets weren't up to code I hunted around. This was a great value for regular tester outlets compared to other resources, but to have these be weather resistant was a big bonus! Great for any humidity in the bathroom! Plus small red and green lights to identify the condition of the outlet. And they came with the cover plates too. Other sources sold them separately. They are a nice white, look good and I feel safer as well as compliant. They were delivered quickly too.

The screws come loose, such they they can slide in or out, but not far enough that you can get your wire out. Pressing in and unscrewing long enough eventually freed one of the three screws but the other two only loosened some. Took 20 times longer than it should have to get two wires screwed in, but the third screw wouldn’t go. Attempting to make it go simply stripped the screw which is made from crummy metal.Making matters worse, the horrible design of the plastic parts around the connections make it extremely difficult to work with. You’ll need two pair of needle nose pliers to get the wires just right.The reason why so many of these fail, I think, is because the horrible screws which have the wrong threads, are not holding the wire down strong enough for a proper connection. They probably pop loose after a while.This product is garbage. The company that makes it is garbage. The seller that sells it is garbage. This equipment is far too important to the safety of human life for it to be designed in this way.

I have been having trouble with my outdoor circuit for years during any type of rain event. Luckily, here in Santa Fe, those don't happen all that often. As I got ready to replace the outlet for the third time in 5 years, I read the fine print to see that if you are trying to protect outdoor outlets, you need to purchase a WR, weather resistant, outlet. Haven't had a problem since installing this WR outlet. Problem finally solved.
