The 2019 Date of Publication (DOP) Contains Errors Mismatching the Displayed Information from Amazon
Normally books published by Roli Books are super-high quality as I have two sets of books on South Indian cuisine from Roli Books. This Wazwaan book contains errors in the 2019 date of publication (DOP). On the Amazon product listing, take note of the 10-digit ISBN. This does not match the 10-digit ISBN of the book sent. Also...in my 2019 DOP, there are glaring errors on Page 13. This is where the captions and labels for the food pictures on page 12 are wrongly identified. What's interesting is that if you click on Amazon's preview of the book. Head over to pages 12 and 13 and you will see the correct labels and identification. How do you explain that? There is NO PDF/eBook version to Wazwaan.I am guessing that Roli Books has the updated (fixed) 2020 DOP.Does my review and concern make sense? Check that Amazon has "May 30, 2020" as the DOP for the book. How come both dates on my shipped copy has 2019?Be warned that you copy may be 2019 DOP and not the latest 2020 with the errors fixed from Roli Books.

Nice coverage of an interesting cuisine
This book focuses on a very specific aspect of Kashmiri cuisine; towit, the ritual feast in northern Muslim cookery known as the Wazwaan. For those unfamiliar with the term, this is a very rich formal feast comprising many dishes that can take days to prepare at the hands of a whole crew of professional cooks. There can be some variety in the dishes served but there are also several core dishes that are expected to be offered. The authors present 45 dishes, almost all nicely photographed, along with some background information about the Wazwaan feast in particular and Kashmiri food in general. It is a short introduction to this fascinating topic but a very good one.
