You're here because you're unsatisfied with the stock all black front site post of your Ruger (arguably the only flaw with the firearm out of the box). I'm here to tell you that you're looking at the right product. The front side replacement installs in about 10 seconds if you know what you're doing. I was too lazy to get my toolbox that had punch drive pins so I ended up using a plastic mechanical pencil and it worked just fine. The sight installed flush and level and did not require any modification or gunsmithing. The height and width of the sight post itself are approximately the exact same size (probably within small, small fractions of a millimeter), so in theory, you should have the same exact zero that you did with the OEM sight. If you're skeptical about not replacing the OEM rear sight, just know that (in my humble opinion) it's unnecessary. Your target acquisition speed (that is, the act of lining up the sights whilst aiming at a target) will easily improve ten fold with just this front sight post. The build quality and materials of the sight seem higher quality than the OEM sight, so I really wouldn't worry about durability. If you want an extremely practical upgrade, with the most bang for your buck (no pun intended), look no further. And to answer your question, yes, this does glow in absolute darkness.

These are pretty good. If this is a range toy do yourself a favor and just paint the front sight with a florescent green or orange nail polish or marker. For defense, the tritium is functional but underwhelmingly bright. I wish Ameriglo made a GP100 front sight like their Spartan model. The ring is brighter in the day and the tritium is much brighter at night. Blacking out the white square on the rear sight definitely helps speed up sight acquisition. If I didn't try this I would have returned the sights.

Easy install, does the trick for my old eyes. Could be brighter at night but it works overall. good bu tnot great. Reasonable for the money. To bad many rugers come with suboptimal sights. Kind of a shame.

Fits Ruger Redhawk 2.75”bbl .357 8 shot Revolver 100% perfectly.Sight sits lower than stock blade. Not impressed by light gathering capability, near useless without the white outline. Night sights were good enough.Also the dot doesn’t line up with the factory rear sight, 3/4 moon effect.
