A good efficient pool cleaner.
Works well. I had my first one for two years before it wore out. Occasionally dismantling it to remove the debris that a pool, open to leaves and palm-fronds, expects. The leaf catcher is worth having for convenience and visual assurance of a good suction being maintained.

Compact Pool Cleaner
I used to have a Polaris pool robot that uses its own booster pump pressure to power. Recent winter storm led us to replace our pool pumps as they died and I switched to a variable speed pool pump. With the reduction from 2 pumps to 1, I had to try this suction style pool cleaner robot.I will say this unit is much newer than what I have been using (Polaris 280). Pros is it's compact and easy to install. The setup I purchased has a Cyclone Leaf Canister for cleaning. The upside of this vs the old setup is the fact that I don't need to run 2 pumps, which I can save a bunch of electricity. Downside is as it is suction based, if you are ever pulling the robot out of the water, or cleaning the Cyclone Leaf Canister where the pipes are sucking in air, the air will need to get processed out of the system for the robot to work fine again. Sometimes if there is too much suction (pump running too fast with skimmer / drain valves not dialed in properly), the robot will sometimes craw above the water and suck in air.It does need some fine tuning with suction, such as closing the pool bottom drain valves and possibly closing the other skimmer's flow (if your setup has 2 skimmers). This style of pool robot takes up 1 of the skimmers, so if you only have 1 skimmer, the top of the water will be fairly dirty. Will likely need to pair this robot with a separate surface skimmer. Once everything is dialed in, it works great and has a lot less moving parts compared to the Polaris.Overall satisfied with the setup as it cleans fairly well, and paired with a variable pump, it runs 24/7 keeping the bottom of the pool clean.

DO NOT BUY!!
The vaccum hose is garbage. Each link of the hose allows for air to enter and prime/suction to be lost. They have added a water bleed-in at the dead end of the hose in an effort to alleviate the issue, but it requires that you have an in-ground pool with a built in vaccum line dedicated to nothing BUT vaccuming so that the bleed in can sit IN the water inside the pool wall. I have only one pump and my vaccum connects at my skimmer. The connection it came with only allows for vertical connection. Having the hose go OVER the pool wall rather than through it (becuase the hose is too stiff to turn that hard that quickly) puts too much pressure on the pump to suck water through a hole riddled hose. I bought a 90° transition and over filled the pool to ensure it is submerged fully and at the proper angle... but the skimmer doesn't function as well when things cant float in at the waterline normally (compensating by overfilling). Too low of a waterline just lets more air into the line. I got tired of fighting it so I use a different brand hose that only has TWO ends and doesn't come apart (less transitions means less opportunities to suck in unwanted air). The vaccum itself seemed okay at first, but starting with a fresh new pool made it hard to tell it wasn't working. The vaccum was recommended to me by google and amazon for an above ground pool. It had reviews by people with above ground pools. Above ground pools are never perfect or 100% smooth and this vaccum misses mostly everything. SMALL leaves get caught in the fins inside the machine's system AND the hose before it could ever make it to the leaf filter it came with. Even without leaves to pick up, it misses entire sections of my pool floor becuase it gets caught up or goes around on the smallest bit of uneven ground, wrinkles, slopes. The suction (even with my good hose) isn't enough to suck debree out of the deepest of holes that the vaccum DOES go over despite NOOO bleed in of air (I am talking PERFECT prime! No bubbles or lost suction. My alternate/good hose has given me a bruise when it stuck to me accidentally while trying to hold onto it under water while readjusting things... but that suction cant seem to pull enough to thoroughly clean the uneven floor. Even if my floor WAS 100% smooth, the nice extra wide foam cove I have is not curved enough to let the vaccum climb the walls. And it can't back itself out of the corner from which it often gets stuck. You essentially just can't leave this thing unsupervised... but I bought an automatic vaccum so I could LEAVE and come back in a few hours and see progress. Complete waste. The leaf container? This was a good idea. It is EVERYTHING. It is easy to use, filters put large debree before hitting my good hose, my skimmer filter, my pump filter, or my sand filter. It is the only thing worth a damn and it didn't even come in the same box.Don't buy the vaccum or its hose. Complete waste of money. Seller will not work with you on a return either. I didn't realize it was such a short return or I would have never purchased it knowing I would be going out of town for over a month within mere days of its arrival. They will tell you to speak to someone else becuase the stuff they sell isn't their problem.

A year and a half later
Rated 4 stars - but I would give it 3 1/2 if I could.Bought this cleaner in January of 2023, at the time of this review it has been cleaning my pool for a about a year and a half. I run it about out 8 hours a day.The good:I don't have a problem with leaves jamming the mechanism (maybe once every few months)Appears to work as well as the first day, with the exception of hoses, not a single repairCleans the pool wellThe bad:Negative comments about the hoses are true - almost all of them have brokenGets stuck on the pool stairs for extended periods every dayIf you don't care about replacing the awful hoses this cleaner is a very good value. I had a Hayward cleaner and those hoses lasted a decade without any problems. Unfortunately these hoses don't use the traditional connection so I can't just use the old ones.

Work very well
The media could not be loaded. This vacuum works incredibly well at vacuuming up sand and dirt that I get because my pool is in the desert. I ordered the one with the leaf basket, which seems not to work so well and probably doesn’t need to be included in the device. Just a note that they shipped without a leaf basket which I then returned and then they shipped two leaf baskets so I figured maybe they shipped separately, although the second order came together, but it was a little confusing. All in all a very good vacuum for the pool and the issues that other of yours have had with the hose I have not had. I keep it plugged into my vacuum port, which seems not strong enough to climb the walls, and once a week plug it into the skimmer, and it climbs the walls easily. The video is the first time I used it after a windstorm so you can see how well it vacuums, the sand.
