Great product! It lightens your hair, in the roots area, if you dye your hair. However, it looks good, and you can dye your roots a darker shade a few days after the treatment. Great product!

I purchased the GK HAIR Global Keratin "The Best" Smoothing Keratin Treatment Kit with high hopes, expecting a significant reduction in frizz and smoother, straighter hair. While the product was easy to apply and came with clear instructions, the final results did not meet expectations.Despite meticulously following the recommended steps, including processing time and aftercare, the treatment did not produce a noticeable difference in texture or manageability. My hair remained prone to frizz, and the promised smoothness was minimal. Given the brand’s reputation and the investment in this kit, I anticipated more effective results.To improve the experience, GK HAIR could provide more detailed guidance on how to maximize results for different hair types. Additionally, adjusting the formula to better deliver on its claims of lasting smoothness would make it more reliable. For those considering a keratin treatment, I would recommend researching alternatives with consistently positive reviews.Overall, while the packaging and instructions were well-done, the effectiveness of the treatment did not justify the price. A more reliable formula would make this a worthwhile investment.

I have 4b/c hair. I was hesitant to purchase, but read the review from another 4 tenured lady here and saw a review on YouTube from another. I have also had salon keratin treatments in the past.People need to understand that this is NOT A STRAIGHTENER. It’s a smoothing treatment that helps with frizz and manageability. And to that point, I am VERY happy with my results. There is no horrible smell or fumes like the salon version. It didn’t burn at all and I found it easy to use overall. My kit had all the advertised pieces. The shower cap is a little small and the gloves aren’t the best, but fortunately, I had extras of those items on hand.I had great results immediately and my hair stayed straight for 2 weeks in Texas heat and humidity until I washed it. My hair reverted after the shampooing but was much easier to handle and manipulate than before the treatment. After the first wash, I conditioned, dried, and flat ironed (only 1-2 passes this time) and it stayed straight again.I’ll see how long it lasts. So far my hair seems like it’s still healthy and non-damaged. I’ll try to update this review if there are any significant changes.

This product is true to it's statement.My hair is soft and shiny. Products aroma is mild, no harsh smell. Will buy product again.

The keratin product is decent - I followed the instructions but then didn’t shampoo it right after (waited 48 hours like I’ve always been told at salons). It seems to initially work almost as well as some salon treatments I’ve had (which cost between $180 and $250). I also only did one treatment so far and didn’t even use half the product (and I have hair that goes down to my shoulder blades and is moderately thick). My main complaint is the smell when you wash it! I’ve washed my hair a few times since then and the smell still lingers. Another review said it smelled like fishy hot dog water - I’d say that or a wet dog.I had good results for about 3-4 weeks, and then my hair was almost back to its original state.Bottom line - results were good but only lasted a few weeks as opposed to a professional treatment that can last a few months.

First-time User: I have very thick hair - I should have purchased an extra tube of the activator in addition to the kit. I didn't saturate my hair enough. My ends did not come out as well as expected. I also have to buy more regular shampoo and the two conditioners. But overall, I like it and will use it again! The faster you can apply the "Best" activator - the better! I took too long on my first try (over an hour) - but fortunately, no negative side effects! I use permanent color and the process did change the color of my hair - made it much lighter - too light for my tastes - so I will color it again in the next 10 days or so... I also went to the hair salon to have it washed out, blown dry and flat-ironed - I thought it best to make sure it was done correctly - especially the back. All in - I still saved money by doing the process myself. One more detail - My hairdresser said to do "touch-ups only" after this, to not reapply the treatment to hair already processed. Now that I know how it works, it will be easier and faster! GREAT!

This product is amazing to say the least, I have been using keratin on my hair for years now, and always had to have put it on by a professional, but this is a game changer. I was able to do it myself in a much easier drying by washing the product off after a certain amount of time rather than leaving it on, which is how a normal Keratin works. I will most definitely use again and highly recommend.

This product seemed promising, but it was highly disappointing. Even though the instructions were followed step by step the results were not the promised ones. And even when using the shampoo and conditioner that comes with the set, the "results" were gone in the first wash.Very disappointing 😞
