Great belt.
I am a female and my waist runs 28"-30". In a uniform trouser I always order a 30" waist(I like a little room). I listened to the reviews that said this belt runs small and to order a size up. So, instead of ordering the SMALL, I ordered the MEDIUM. It was WAY too big. The tail end wrapped around the entire side of my body. I made arrangements with the seller, Reliable Value, and mailed/exchanged my belt for a size SMALL. I mailed the belt out on a Tuesday and received the new belt the following Monday. NOTE-to exchange the belt you need the tag that is on it, the original packaging, and it needs to be in brand new condition. Yes, you have to pay for the return shipping, but, they will pay to ship the new belt to you. I did measure the MEDIUM belt. The material is 45" long from buckle to tail end.About the belt: the SMALL belt is a PERFECT fit. I am an instructor and needed a professional functioning and looking belt to wear with my uniform, 5.11 Tactical(khaki) pants and black polo shirt. This belt fits the bill. It looks really sharp and completes the uniform. The belt material is thick and sturdy, and the velcro holds well. I measured the SMALL belt. The material is 38" long from the buckle to tail end. The width, 1 3/4" fits my tactical pants but I'm not sure if it would fit all pant loops. This is a great belt for professionals.I hope all this information helps those trying to decide what size to order.

Great Belts---need sizing consideration...
I had originally ordered this belt in large, per Blackhawk! customers service, needing a belt to support a s&w N frame revolver and owb holster, hunting knife, or Cold Steel Kukuri and Leatherman Charge Tti, or Surge Multi-tool.Unless you eat alot of doughnuts, and you have a 38 to 42 inch waistline, bad move. There isn't enough "loop" to attach "bitter end". My beloved wife could've sewn more on, but I decided to try the Medium instead.I sent my large version to Alabama, where it is being used by my friend, colleague in the outdoor "survival sports" community and non-transplanted Cajun brother Pierre from Stone Tinder. The quality of BOTH belts is outstanding. The medium cinches my waistline up like a weight lifters belt. My wife grabbed it by the buckle, I had it on of course, leaned all her weight backward, and lifted me 1 1/2 inches off our bed!Believe all those towing strap reviews you read.I have CP, so the rapelling shackle will come in very handy if I have to tie off on a tree, post or other large object.Anything you properly attach, (thru your belt loops, locking carabieners etc included) will NOT move! There is so far NO SHIFTING of clothing, hardware and the like.My only concern is Velcro durability, due to manipulation and element exposure, but time will tell, and at this price--heck---order another one.I would definitely suggest Blackhawk! addressed the sizing for us "in between" folks.I have some ideas for extending the belt w/o altering it by about 3 in. for tool takeup. If you thread the belt thru the outside cinch on the buckle, it is much easier to use for day to day wear, as unbuckling for visits to the "necessary" room are far less touch and go.Again, the large had almost 6 extra inches of webbing as opposed to the Medium for me.Great shipping and return policies mean I will order again! Thanks to Amazon and Reds Outdoors.MB.

Good EDW Belt
I purchased this belt because I was tired of buying belts that lasted six months and then either broke or wore out. I have experience with many Blackhawk products and you simply cannot go wrong with anything they make. This is no exception. It is a very well-made belt that will last a long time. I have used the D ring to teach rappelling classes, and it has held my weight. The width of the belt pushes the envelope with the belt loops on some pants, but things like radio and pager clips fit nicely. Putting on/taking off the belt took a little getting used to when coming from a traditional leather belt, but it has become second nature.I have a 32" waist, and I purchased the medium sized belt. While my waist is slightly smaller than the medium size range, I wanted a little extra left over, and it fits me well. I now wear this belt every day, both on the job and off. Highly recommended.

Great belt! Good for ski patrolling.
This belt has gone through many things with me. It's strong, durable, and amazing. Not super comfortable for abseiling, but really, what is? I use this belt for EMT work, but also as a Ski Patroller. I wear this belt with my ski pants in lieu of carrying a harness. It works great and is a fantastic belt above all else.As a belt, the wide range of sizes (infinitely adjustable) it works fantastic! Durable, strong, and adds a very technical look to any outfit.
