Q: Can these brushes be used with oil base and latex paints

I would NOT recommend these brushes for anything. I used them for acrylic paint and the hairs got stuck in the paint on my piece and ruined everything.

Q: before I make a complaint to amazon are the #6, 4 and 2 supposed to be hard bristles? I didnt even open the package and these dont feel soft.

They are junk, pure and simple. Amazon should not be selling them on their site.

Q: Is it easy to get the paint off?

It really depends on which paint you are using? I have used acrylics and ceramic glazes and they both rinse off real easy with water.

Q: Are the handles made of plastic?

Some are wood handles and some are plastic. It's a great set, and they have held up nicely.
