Worked on my Pontiac G6!
Was able to program this remote on my G6 as original remote stopped working after I put in a new car battery. The dealer wanted $175 to reprogram one remote & $45 for each additional one. Note that the instructions says you need one working remote in order to program this remote but I didn't have one & it worked anyway. The remote car start on the fob would not work for some reason and found that the battery in the remote was almost dead per my battery tester. I replaced it with a 2032 button battery and it worked after this. So just keep in mind that when you buy this, should probably replace the battery right away.

easy to follow directions
this product was for my 2010 cobalt. dealer wanted 174 for the fob and 220 to program the fob. 67 with tax for this dorman product that worked like a charm. all buttons work the whole process took about 30 seconds. highly recommend this product to anyone.

Worked fine
I bought this with item "X AUTOHAUX 315MHz KOBGT04A Keyless Entry Remote Car Key Fob." This device programmed 2 remotes easily. The Dorman remote did not confirm it was programmed but the Autohaux one did. The car gives the very annoying message "Low key fob battery" even after replacing with new batteries. The Dorman remote buttons are hard to press. The Autohaux remote has a longer range. I recommend buying the $8 spare remote to use as your main.I found that the programmer is impossible to remove without tearing the port out of its harness so I recommend clipping the tab as shown in the picture.

Doesn't work
It's easy enough to program but it doesn't work properly. Programmed it and then when I try to use it, the car display says "Keyfob battery low" even after I installed a new battery. Defective product and Amazon wants ME to pay to have UPS pick it up and return it. Don't waste your money on poor product and poor customer service.

SOME BUTTONS WON'T PROGRAM
This appeared to be a good price for the remote, but when it was programmed, only 4 of the 5 buttons work. The combination of the lock and the top button held down together is supposed to remotely start the car. Standing right next to it, it does not work. I had another remote programmed for the same car at the same time and that one works for remote start. I'll keep it because it's a good backup for the remaining functions but I'm disappointed this wasn't a fully functioning remote for my 2009 Pontiac G6.

It worked perfectly on my 2008 Chevy Malibu Classic LT!
I was a bit worried that this might not work after reading some of the reviews. However this worked perfectly without issue on my 2008 Chevy Malibu Classic LT. I also purchased two extra FOBs from KeylessOptions here - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KTIR1ZU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I was able to program all three FOBs in one go without issue and without the original FOB. I was worried it wouldnt work without an original FOB bcs the package mentions requiring one for some reason, but I didnt have one. All three FOBs I used were completely new unprogrammed ones (the one included here and the two seperates ones I bought from KeylessOptions). Im guessing it might have just meant you need a similar FOB not the actual original one.Heres the instructions I followed to program the fobs.1. Got in car and closed all doors.2. Locked all doors.3. Inserted my key in the ignition and set it to the On position. (Turn the key all the way possible without starting the car).4. Plugged in the included programmer into the OBD2 port of the car.5. Waited for the LED light on the programmer to turn on and for the programmer to beep once. (Once the programmer beeped the light started blinking red.)6. I took the FOB included and held the Lock and Unlock buttons for around 8-10sec until the programmer beeped. Once it beeped I checked the FOB to make sure it worked.7. Repeat the steps for the extra FOBs.8. Once done I turned the car off and removed the programmer. That was it. It took me max like 5mins to program all three. The programmer was a bit hard to unplug from the OBD2 port, but it came out just fine. You have to make sure you program all the FOBs in one go including any original ones you still have bcs according to others it resets the FOBs every time you use the programmer.
