They work very well
I have beeen using these in my clay bows and they have worked really well. I insert them when the clay is leather hard and they go through a bisque and glaze firing. The wire has held up great, no breaks and it is very easy to use. I would buy this again

Perfect!!
I use them when I am making my ceramic charms! I will put a paintbrush in the top of the U, and then twist the two prongs together to make a little loop. I then stick that into my ceramic pieces before firing, and it turns out perfect! My only complaint is the wire gets a little grey and matte, but it's worth the trade off!

Decent but not quiet sturdy enough
I bought these to help my middle school students hang their clay ornaments. They work okay but are tiny.

I'm Hooked!
I used to be able to buy these high temp U hooks from a local supplier but when he went out of business, I was so glad to discover them on Amazon! They get inserted into earthenware or stoneware clay projects - pendants, ornaments, wind chime components, bells, etc. - before the clay gets leatherhard and fire from cone 02 - 06 (maybe even higher but I wouldn't know) and once fired, are not brittle at all. With pendants, I stack soldered jump rings on the loops then use a regular jump ring to fasten the cords.
