Well worth the money!
Great set of pans. Was a little concerned if they were going to be heavy but they are not. They are much lighter than cast iron but heavy enough to have a durable, quality feel.Been using daily for over two months and have no regrets. Easy to clean. The worse cooked on mess I have had came up easily after soaking with hot water for a while. "Seasoned" one of the pans as mentioned on line but didn't really see any benefit after a day or so. Been using a 'Blue' scratch pad (safe for non stick), a Teflon scraper, and soap to clean - never dishwasher.Hardest thing to get used to is letting the pans heat up before adding the food.

Excellent well priced set
Got this set for my son for Christmas and he loves it. They are heavy but not too heavy. They feel very sturdy and just right. Easy to clean and heat pretty evenly though you do have to reduced the heat from what you’re used to cooking at.

Beautiful cookware with a caveat
This 8-piece set of cookware by Tramontina is lovely. Really pretty. First I cooked rice in the 3-quart saucepan. Now, the bottom of that pot does not fit perfectly over any of my burners, so I used the burner closest to the size of the pan's bottom. It did alright even though the burner was a bit small for the pan. I did use a bit of medium high heat to bring the water to a boil, which is not recommended by the manufacturer. The rice turned out fine, thanks. After I washed and dried the pan, however, I could see that the the very inside bottom of the pan was discolored. Of course, I was pretty dismayed. Then I reread the directions again. Be sure to read the directions. There are several mentions of what can happen when high heat settings are used. These words under "CLEANING AND CARING FOR YOUR COOKWARE" were helpful: "Prolonged exposure to high heat settings may cause your cookware to discolor. To recondition your cookware or to remove stubborn spots or stains, use a nonabrasive pad and quality stainless steel cleanser such as Bar Keepers Friend." Well, Bar Keepers Friend did indeed remove the stains on the inside bottom of my pan, and I was very happy about that. Next time I make my rice, I'll exercise greater patience and wait for the water to boil at a lower temp setting. Here's an update. I have exercised greater patience. I've owned this cookware for less than a month. Every piece has now been used to cook food. Adhering to temperature settings no higher than medium has prevented serious staining. I still use Bar Keeper's Friend to remove stray spots. Bar Keepers Friend will help me keep my Tramontina cookware gleaming and beautiful. I'm very thrilled to own this set. It was recommended by the NY Time's Wirecutter for induction. I don't have an induction cooktop. I fell in love with this cookware set for its stainless steel properties and weight.

Quality
These are awesome. To me they seem heavy but my wife thinks they are balanced. They are so pretty you hate to cook with them. Yes they are dishwasher safe but we clean them by hand. Would buy again. Price is right for the quality.

🙂 What We Wanted But Not What We Ordered 🤔
This seller (Home Solutions for You) is either very crafty or...something else. TLDR: Too early to say how this will hold up over time. Looks great, seems sturdy, checks many or all of the boxes we had BUT what was delivered didn't match what we ordered. YMMV, order the 14 pc directly from Sam's Club if the differences don't matter to you, as I describe below. We ordered the 12-pc thru Amazon 3rd party but had the 14 pc from Sam's delivered. Crafty switcheroo by this seller. The 14 pc from Sam's costs $100 less (than we paid) but may be of equal or greater value to the 12 pc Gourmet. We looked at replacements for our 15-year old Teflon set that we got on our wedding registry. We looked at ceramic and other non-stick options but settled on stainless steel as a safer and longer-lasting option. The reviewers at Wirecutter and America's Test Kitchen recommended Tramontina sets, which is how we got here. There are mixed reviews on Amazon for Tramontina many related to whether the sets came from Brazil or China. We ordered the 12 pc Gourmet set thru a 3rd party seller on Amazon. Via overnight, we received the non-gourmet 14-piece Tramontina (Members Mark) directly from Sam's Club. It just so happens that we also ordered a 10 piece gourmet set directly from Best Buy, so we actually have a basis for comparison. There are a similarities and differences between the non-gourmet 14 pc Tramontina from Sam's Club vs the Gourmet. First, yes the 14 piece pans and pots are marked as Made in Brazil if that's important. The lids of both sets are stainless steel and both say they can go into the oven to 550°. The range and variety of the pots and pans are sightly different from the 10 piece. They both say they're induction compatible and are mirror-finshed. Obviously, more pieces in the 14 pc set, some more useful to our family.Overall, the 14 piece set has a riveted handle that is more rounded on its bottom and that are affixed to the pots/pans like the edge of a triangle. Whereas the riveted handles from the Gourmet set are riveted to the pots/pans like the horizontally flattened edges of a two-pronged fork. The 8, 10, and (and 12-inch) saute pans in the 14-piece set slope from the pan surface into a straight-edge. The edges of the gourmet pans are flared like for pouring. It seems that the first area of those pans are similar if not the same. The non-gourmet saute pans are somewhat heavier than their counterpart gourmet pans. I could see why someone would want flared edges and less weight in a pan. Maybe the flared edges would also be better for dissipating heat. Generally, the pots are similar in weight in both sets. The diameter of the pots and pans are the same comparing similar volume pots and pans in each set. Perhaps the lid handles of the Gourmet set are solid stainless steel whereas the lid handles of the non-gourmet may be hollow but it's difficult to know, see or tell from three external appearance. We're going to keep the 14 piece set. It has greater value for us but I would be careful ordering these sets if not directly from Tramontina or Amazon as a seller. (Or buy the 14 piece non-Gourmet from Sam's Club directly and pay less.)

Stainless steel cookware set
These are well made stainless steel pans. If you follow the instructions they are non-stick. Heavy stainless steel but not too heavy to handle easily. Oils will leave a stain but it comes right off with Barkeeper’s friend.
