Can't beat the value
The only thing that would make this stand better is having an adjustable leg for uneven ground. So much more heavy duty than a traditional light stand, with so many more options for use. It has a little bit of flex in the arm, but for the price it will do the job. Unless you're trying to mount huge Hollywood style lights, this c stand will do the job. For use with flash lights, constant 600w etc, modifiers, backdrops this will hold up to years of use. I want sure until I checked it out with my own eyes and hands. Everything moves like it should, doesn't move like it should and is right and sturdy. Have a piece of kit that will last and not worry about it bending, or breaking.

Best design I have seen.
What I like most is the gobo head has machine lines cut inside as to grip better the extended pole attachment. This means nothing will slip. I also like there are machine screw heads made at each end so you can attach whatever item you have. Like a microphone or a mic clip in my case I can attach a zoom recorder any thing else you can think of. this unit is built very sturdy In addition the main vertical pole is spring loaded so when released it won't come crashing down. I have used many c stands and by far this is the best one I have seen and used. Thanks for reading this I hope it helps. M from Arizona

An excellent stand!!!
Got one of these as a test run to replace the black flimsy ones that often come with the lights or reflectors we need as photographers. I was honestly blown away. This is the first stand of my own that I purchased as an upgrade, and the difference is night and day. I don't have access to the crazy expensive ones to compare, so I can't comment on those c stands. But what I can say, is that I'll be back for 2 more of these. After reading the comments, some have actual gripes, but majority I think are reaching to justify why "such and such" cost $1000 a stand and why they paid it.Long story less long, I'd recommend them to any photographer in the market for a stable boom stand. The shaft is thick and girthy, it's extremely stable and I've found no issues with adjusting it. For reference, I put a godox600 with a 48" deep parabolic on it just to see how it acts. And no issues whatsoever to report. It may or may not lack some additions more expensive ones have and may not be as shiny or whatever, but for getting the job done? Buy 1 and see for yourself. Something wrong with it? We know amazon will make it right.

When sturdiness is a factor in deciding what stand to use, this stand is right for you.
The build of this stand is very sturdy. And this is the reason why I needed to buy this. The unfortunate thing about the materials used for the stand is that it made the pivot points extra hard to tighten down. When you combine the weight of a softbox with the extension of the stand arm out, these factors create a lot of resistance when tighten down the butterfly wing-nut to keep the light at desired position. When you properly adjust the feet-stands on the light, the lights work well. If you don't tighten the pivot point just right, the light will come crashing down.

I’m not disappointed at all. This is a decent budget option.
I’ve needed a budget C Stand for a while now. I wanted to get one because this came with the boom arm. I should have got more, because the price went up since then. The C Stand itself is sturdy. The materials seem cheap. The boom arm feels flimsy, like it might bend with too much weight. The Gobo heads feel cheap. There are no springs in them when you loosen to adjust and I’m afraid of stripping the threading. However, for the price I got it and the stand itself, it’s a steal! I am very happy with it despite my criticisms, but you get what you pay for. If the price drops again, I will definitely get a couple more. As long as you are careful and don’t abuse them, they should hold up. If you can afford better? Get better. If you can’t and need them, get these when they are on sale. It’s been worth it for me.
