Does what it says...
Purchased this given that it supports setting upper and lower alarm limits on HR and SpO2.Have used the unit continuously for the last couple of days and appears to be reasonably accurate. Have test both the alarm function...works as expected/advertised.Note: The default setting this monitor is to beep with every heartbeat but the speaker can be muted to essentially turn off the continuous beeping without affecting the sounding of an alarm. In other words, you can mute the speaker (to disable the heart rate beeping) and the device will automatically unmute the speaker to sound a HR and/or Sp02 alarm if the associated upper/lower limits are exceeded.Does exactly what we need it to do to continuously monitor our daughter's condition. We use the "infant" sensor on our adult daughter's toe as a more secure alternative to the finger clamp sensor.Would recommend for anyone needing for like reasons.

First impressions, WOW!
My daughter uses the Nelcor Covidien pulse ox but it is currently broken and will need to be sent to the manufacturer for repair. I bought this as a backup after 5pm yesterday and didn't expect much from the free overnight shipping, but it was literally on my doorstep before 9am this morning. Very pleased to get it so quickly! I purchased this with my HSA, it IS eligible. My daughter has not used this yet, and I had to order the pediatric probe #75 off the actual website (also HSA eligible) so it's not here yet, but I got it all set up and tested it on myself and I am pretty impressed so far!It comes very well packaged. The case it comes with is super nice, and it has the adult probe, infant probe, a wall charger and cord, and a USB-C to USB cable that I assume is meant to plug the machine into a computer to download data. Also comes with the stand, case, a user manual, and a quick setup guide. The quick setup guide is easy to use, well illustrated, and I was able to set everything to the correct limits to match the Covidien unit in just a few minutes. All of the pieces and manuals fit neatly in the case, so you can keep everything with the unit. This unit is about the size of a very chunky cell phone, so it doesn't take up nearly as much space as our Covidien unit. Could probably fit in a large pocket without too much trouble. The only downside I can see so far to this is that when you first start it up it starts beeping as it reads your sats. All you have to do to stop it is hit the mute button so this is a very minor annoyance, and hitting mute will not keep it from alarming again if the sat limits are violated. I personally just REALLY detest hearing a pulse ox alarm, it automatically raises my anxiety, so I wish there was a way to disable that completely.I will update this review as we use it more if I have anything to add, but thus far I am extremely pleased with my purchase and I am super thankful to have a great secondary unit on hand for such a reasonable price, as my insurance will not pay for another one even with our first one being broken.Update: battery is supposed to last 12 hours. I think I got about 10 from it, continuous use. Not bad at all! Definitely more than enough for a full day of school and most outings we would need to take. Would always recommend having a charger on hand for any unit anyway, but nice to be able to be away from an outlet for extended periods of time.

Accurate, good value, no phone app. needed.
Good: Oximeter is reasonably accurate and has a low O2 threshold alarm. Good fingertip sensor. Easy to read screen, self contained and doesn't need an app. Relatively inexpensive for what it includes.Bad: Orig. designed for AA batts. but instead has small rechargeable battery pack that only lasts about 2 nights. Screen a little too bright. Buttons are a little tough to get used to.

Great product
Regular oxymeters never work on my dad’s finger. This one reads his finger very quickly

Constant annoying beep that can't be permanently muted
I'm giving this one star solely for that constant beeping because it completely obliterates any positives about it.Who in their right mind thought it was a good idea for this device to beep with every pulse, and for the pitch of the beep to change with oxygen fluctuations? It really boggles the mind. The worse thing is, you can't permanently turn this useless and annoying feature off! You can mute it, but it'll unmute for some reason if the alarm is tripped by the threshold values you set. It's great to get an alarm when oxygen dips too low, but why on earth does it unmute the stupid pulse beeping? It's my mistake for not reading some of the other reviews complaining about this, but I'm surprised this thing even has such good reviews. How are most people not annoyed by this stupid feature?
