Easy connection to SmartThings, works great
Works really well, I had no problem connecting to SmartThings using the QR code on the back of the unit. Make sure to plug it in close to the ST hub first, after it's set up you can move it. I was then able to use ST to sound an alert on my phone and also send a text to me and others in my household. I'm using it for a small utility pump to drain my pool remotely by a few inches when a hurricane is approaching or the level is too high, so the ST integration was important, and seamless. I'd initially tried an Enbrighten smart plug but couldn't get it to connect to ST after numerous attempts, but this model is much easier to connect.

Great Idea...Now if it only worked!!! Don't Waste Your Time.
I'm on my second one of these Eva Logic 2 Channel Z-Wave Smart Plug...and unfortunately these are the dummest smart plugs out there. Neither of the two that I purchased can be added to my SmartThings hub. When trying to add them...either via their product name (which is an available option), or "scanning nearby", they are not found by the SmartThings app. I've tried it a million times...tried the factory reset (press the power button twice, then hold), rebooted the hub, rebooted my phone...no dice no matter what I try.I contacted Eva Logik support, and although they responded very quickly (which was great), their first reply was sending me a link to the video on how to "pair" the device (which was no no help, of course, since I had already tried every option available. They offered to replace the device, but figuring they wouldn't be as quick as Amazon, I just did a "replacement order". As noted earlier, the replacement acted the same way as the original one...it's basically a brick. Now it's on to try to find a similar device from an alternate manufacturer...that will actually work.I would suggest that you don't waste your time on trying this...I'm a week and a half in, and back to square one.Note: I have an extensive SmartHome device collection, running a large number of items in my house, so suffice to say, it isn't "operator error".

Easy inclusion in SmartThings. Works great so far!
I bought multiple of these to have one outdoor temp sensor be able to activate (through SmartThings) multiple heat-tape locations on our roof in winter to prevent ice dams. I recently added exterior outlets around the house to accommodate this.Inclusion of these outdoor-rated switches (with an operating temp range down below freezing) was easy and straight forward in SmartThings (ST). I was able to easily change the parameters manually (using the lighted button on the front of the device, not through the ST app) to: 1. Have the light on the device be “on” when the device was “on”, and “off” when the switch was “off”. This will give me visual feedback that the heat tape is operating outside when it needs to be. 2. Secondly, I was able to set the parameter where the switch comes back on in the same state that it was at the time of a power failure. This was important to me because we have frequent power failures in winter, and when the power comes back on, I need the heat tape to come back on if it was in before the power outage.Bottom line, the device was ready to install, easy to program the parameters that I wanted, and seems to work reliably in my testing so far. Can’t wait for winter now.

This is my second one, I really like the unit but had a fight to get it connected to my ST hub.
So first off I have two of these and the first one has been hanging out side controlling to low voltage landscape lighting transformers for a year and a half through two hot Texas summers and some 20-30 degree cold weather. It has worked like a champ so I have the same expectation of this unit.First off once linked to my SmartThings hub it works great. Notes below on the initial setup but once I got through the pain it connected the final time reporting both outlets and they were ready to go.BUT, getting it linked to my hub was a pain. First attempt it paired right away but only showed up as one outlet. Ok so you're thinking not a disaster, lets remove it, do the device reset and try again right? Not so fast buddy, I couldn't get it to remove from the network. Had the hub ready to remove it, had the right lights on the unit but the removal timed out. Try a few more times and finally do a force delete from the hub. Reset the device following the instructions and try again. Now the dang thing won't pair at all. So reset again and this time it pairs but only showing one switch again but at least it goes through the removal process normally. So fourth try is the charm? I had the unit about 5 feet from the hub so this time I basically have it sitting right beside the hub. Do the reset again and it it appears to connect this time. But go to look for the devices and don't see any switches. I'm getting a little irritated at this point but since the add device seemed to go right I restarted the SmartThings app first and when restarted both switches are now visible and working fine.So lessons learned. One put it right beside the hub. Two do a reset prior to trying to connect it the first time. It's too late for me, save yourself!! But honestly though it took 20 minutes to get it connected its working great and given the first one has been robust I still recommend the switch. And from the reviews not everybody has the same trouble I did getting it connected.

Works Great With VIVINT
Works great with Vivint Hub.When adding it as a Z-Wave device, make sure to “exclude” the node first before “including.” In the hub, after calling Vivint to unlock the installer settings, click “remove node.” Then run outside and click the button on the smart plug 3 times quickly - your panel should make a noise. Go back to the panel and click “add node.” Go to the smart plug again and click the button 3 times. You will again hear a noise from the Vivint panel. The panel will show the plug (it takes a few moments for it to load). It will then appear under the lights/bulbs tab. Use Vivint “rules” on the phone app to create schedules, etc.
