Superb addition to a superb camera
The OEM bracket is beautifully made, very expensive and has to be removed to gain access to the battery/SD card chamber. This JJC bracket is beautifully made, is over half the price of the OEM bracket and allows full access to the battery/SD chamber. What is not to like?Highly recommended, this superb bracket fits exactly, is very well engineered and the textured grip matches the camera body. Handling is much improved and the design does not add too much to the overall dimensions of the camera body. It is particulary effective when longer lenses are fitted. Cracking bit of kit.

A fantastic addition
This grip is a wonderful addition to the Panasonic Lumix GX9, enhancing the ergonomics of the camera perfectly. The grip itself is sturdy and well built but crucially, it is lightweight. It enhances the size of the grip without removing the advantages and purpose of the GX9s compact size. It makes the camera much more comfortable, especially if you use larger or heavier MFT lenses with the GX9.Three important features for me are:1. The grip has an opening on the bottom plate to give full access to the battery compartment on the GX9, making the exchange of both batter and SD Card easy without having to remove the grip each time.2. When attached, it moves the tripod mounting point back preventing and tripod plates fouling the bases of some larger lenses.2a. The grip also feature Arca Swiss compatibility removing the need for an Arca Swiss plate completely if you use such a tripod head.3. The front of the grip is covered with a similar material to the GX9s body, making the grip feel like a natural part of the camera and comfortable in the hand. If a camera feels good, one wants to use it and this grip really contributes the camera’s feel. This is a better value proposition than the official Lumix grip which is both larger and blocks access to the battery compartment completely.I have used JJC accessories on multiple systems, including lens hoods for Fuji and Olympus lenses and a grip plate for a Fuji XT20. This grip plate for the Panasonic Lumix GX9 is the best product I have purchased in terms of feel and quality and would not hesitate to recommend both this particular grip and JJC for other similar products.

Good design
Not as deep a hand grip as the Panasonic one but being able to access the battery while still attached makes it worthwhile. It's the design the official Panasonic grip should have been in the first place.

High quality piece of kit
Couldn't use one of my lenses on the tripod as it was too bulky.Thought I'd give this grip a go.Cheaper than the Panasonic one, so I was a bit concerned about quality. No need to be! Very high quality and an excellent finish, gives me the space to use my lens and tripod. Also a massive improvement in grip, perfect size to grip with 3 fingers and rest my index on the shutter button.Blends perfectly with the camera, a GX9. Will be ordering another very shortly.Well worth the cost.

Very good quality grip well made and practable
It is very well made ,the fact that you can change battery and SD card with taking it off the camera is well thought out. The grip itself is very good makes the handling of the camera much better with larger lens on the camera. It also has tripod tread as well. I would recommend this grip for Panasonic GX80, GX85 or GX9 cameras.

It works!
Any review of a product is inevitably a personal one and therefore has a subjective element to it. However I must say that I am glad that I decided to buy this grip even after using my GX80 for sometime without it. It certainly feels good and has made a significant improvement to the handling of the camera. Although I haven't got particularly large hands it has still made a big difference. I haven't had experience with the Panasonic grip but videos and reviews all mention the fact that you cannot access the battery or the SD card without taking it off although it may well have a more substantial grip. The JJC grip has taken that into account and it is well made and well designed so that battery and card are accessible without taking it off. The design also goes with the camera form i.e. A compact, rangefinder M43 camera; it looks as though it was designed to go with the camera and doesn't look like an "add-on" (although it is!). It may well be that this still won't satisfy someone with large hands but I would imagine it would make a significant difference to many. Well done JJC!

Great addition to the GX9
I bought a leather half case which added a bit of protection but this is better. It almost looks as if it’s not there but adds a bit more bulk to the grip. It also has fits the slide on / off older Gorillapod tripods. Very pleased with this accessory.

Does the job
Nice and neat, good quality feel.Does its job and gives you a much improved grip of the camera. You can change the battery and/or card without removing the hand grip as you have to do with the Lumix own brand version. But it's still a bit on the heavy and bulky side and this seriously detracts from the whole point of having one of these small light pocketable cameras.I made my own grip using Sugru stuck directly onto the camera - very light and natural.

ACCESSORIO INDISPENSABILE
