Q: Will this remote work for a Waltco Liftgate?

I used this to replace the switch on my Waltco Liftgate.

Q: is this even close to waterproof?

Mine is out in the weather but as much as I can I try to keep it out of the Arizona sun. I have not had any problems after about a year of exposure. And, yes we do get rain in Arizona!

I don't know if it is waterproof. Because I bought it and never connected it because I installed a remote control for like twenty bucks and it's the coolest thing since sliced bread works great.
