Ninja! (Ninja!, 1)

I found this adorable book for my 3 year old grandson who is completely obessed with wanting to be a Ninja and fight bad guys. The book has great illustrations and a great message about being a Ninja in your everyday life around your home. My grandson loves the book and has wanted to read it everyday since I gave it to him. A bonus was finding the website of the author and explore all the activities. I especially love the cute little YouTube video, and my grandson did too. The highlight is taking a picture and making your own picture into a Ninja warrior. Agree Chung is a genius, and is right on with introducing Ninja to our children. Keep up the great work Arree!

This book, and it's sequel, were instant hits in our house. Our boys have loved them fiercely for years. This books is sweet with great artwork and captures the imagination of both kids and adults. My kids loved it so much they asked for the 'ninja' outfit described in this book for Christmas the year after we got it. This book is a classic and I hope it is around for years. Get this book - and the sequel.

Fantastic artwork combined with great story! I've bought a few as a gift and another copy for my son. It was a hit as a gift- lovely story about a boy who conquers all things and without giving away the whole story- let's just say it's a perfect book for a bou with a younger sister. Very happy with the purchase.

This book was read all week as a shared reading book for 3-5 year old's. They loved the story and pictures. We've used vocabulary from the book (courage, brave, overcome, undetected, believe, ability, etc.) in daily occurrences. It was a great way to teach self motivation and build self-esteem. This class had difficulties with transitions and walking quietly from one area to another. They love it when we say "lets creap/sneak like a ninja!". I even added the Ninja picture/word to our word wall and some of them will point out the word and name another child who's name starts with the same letter. Very happy we read this book....we also read the 3 Ninja Pigs a few months later.

When it arrived, I wasn't sure my grandkids would like this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's written in the style of a comic book, with almost no words and the pictures looking a little crazy and chaotic. But that's exactly what works in this book. It encourages conversation and imagination about what's happening and the new details discovered with each re-reading.

Just an average children's book. I did not find it to beworth $10. It has decent pics but the plot ends abruptly and the story lacks rhythm.

Ninja keeps my boys (5 and 2) completely riveted. The beautiful, thoughtful illustrations make each read a unique adventure filled with exclamations like, "I never saw that part before!" The illustrations have inspired my 5 year old to become an author/illustrator like Arree. Thank you, Arree, for raising the bar in the children's book space. You have created a masterpiece.
