World of Eric Carle, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Soft Book

Gave this as a gift. We love Eric Carle, so this washable, chewable...has a teething toy on it....and it is a beautiful cloth book with colorful pages was a well received gift. We added a few classic Eric Carle books with this book and to say the least....our new mom, cried tears of joy when she opened this gift. Books are the best gift. If you get duplicates, give them to in-laws, or donate them.

Was looking for board books for new grandchildren. They seem so flimsy now! I saw this soft cloth book in a store but it was soiled. Went home and ordered it, at a much cheaper price. It came in a plastic bag, so was clean and fresh to give to baby. Its really cute and the pictures are brightly colored and make crinkling sounds. I think the baby will love it and it will hold up.

My 4 month old grand son loved the Hungry Hungry Caterpillar book. It crinkles when holding it and that was fascinating.He's a bit too young to appreciate the stuffed Caterpillar that does with the book. But it was adorable also, arrived on time and both of good quality.

This is my six month old's favorite toy. She will quite literally play with this toy for hours. She enjoys the sound it makes she enjoys chewing on the teether and the pages and she enjoys the mirror a lot. She also enjoys smacking the book against different objects to see the sounds it makes.Other reviewers have commented that there are very few words in the book. This is true as there's only one word for page. However I bought this book for the simplicity of the noise factor as well as how much she would enjoy it. I have a copy of the actual book to read to her later but I feel this is a great introductory object to the very hungry Caterpillar.All in all it serves the purpose that I intended for it as she enjoys it and it does introduce her to colors, shapes, sounds and eventually to very simple words.

Bought this for my niece and she loves it!. She loves the Hungry Caterpillar and I am glad, seeing as I grew up reading that same book. Its comfy and doesnt get nasty because its the squishy kind. Im glad it is not made of actual book material because my niece rips those up quickly. Very durable and great for teething babies haha. I recommend this to parents for toddlers [:

As a fun crinkle book this is really cute and great, but I still wish it contained a little more of the story instead of just featuring some objects within the book.

Such a fan of Eric Carle! This book is adorable for my 4 month old granddaughter! She loves the crinkly page and the squeeky sound. I love that it's small enough for her to manage independently and the clip ensures that it doesn't end up hitting the floor. I have thrown it in the washer (not dryer) with her clothes and it cleans up perfectly.

Bought this to give a ten-month-old girl. She's at the age where she chews on everything and this was perfect for her. There are things for her to chew on on every page, the crinkle noises will grab her attention, and it wiped off easy the time she spit up on it. It's not great literature, just basic sun, cake, etc. but at that age that's what you are looking for.
