FINELINE APPLICATORS 2/PKG, 1.25oz

This is actually my second set that I use in a different location. I love them so much that I needed to get them to work in a different area. Great product.

I use these with Pebeo drawing gum to protect thew white watercolor paper. Follow directions and you will be pleased.

I like having the standard and fine tip applicators on these bottles. The bottles are a little difficult to squeeze for someone with arthritis. The fine tip clogs constantly, which is a pain. I don't have a needle or wire thin enough & long enough to get the tip unclogged; I have to run it under hot water. If it wasn't for those two issues, I would've given these 5 stars. I would still recommend the product.

I use masking fluid for watercolors. In the past, I sacrificed a brush to apply. Often it didn't work so well. My teacher showed us how to use these applicators. More control, better results. Super product.

The moment you turn the fine line to the paper it leaves a glob. There seems to be no way to stop this. I used a 3x5 card at beginning of line to catch the blob and then quickly drew a thin line. This seemed to work but it needs practice. I washed it out the moment I stopped using it. It does not wash out easily. The wire in the lid that is supposed to keep the nozzle clear doesn't. For one thing it is too short and harder to insert than threading a fine sewing needle. I used a fine wire from my garden/craft supplies that I could insert from inside the lid. This seems to work well. I am still looking for something to draw a fine line using masking fluid.

I've been using this brand for several years. Filled with appropriate paint, it makes great lines or swirls. If cleaned out after each use, is reusable.

These Fineline applicators are perfect for applying masking fluid to my watercolor paintings. I love that there is a wire in the cap to keep the nosil from plugging up with the latex. The company was extremely helpful when I wrote them with questions. They also offer smaller size applicators which I use, also.
