It's nice and shows alot of area some don't. Huge bigger than I thought. But that's even better.

My girlfriend and I love taking cross country road trips, and are using this map to plot out where we've been and where we want to go next. For this purpose, it works fantastically! The map shows all the major roads and many of the not so major ones. Sometimes a tiny town is missing from the map but honestly you'd need one that's ten feet by twenty to have everything marked on it. It's also got roughly color coded boarders for the states and regions, and is clearly labeled. Some of the lettering for smaller towns may require some slight magnification for anyone who has trouble reading small print, but I've got about average eyesight and I can read everything just fine. Finally, the map is just slightly smaller than a typical four foot by three foot framed cork board, thus making it perfect for hanging on the wall and using with map pins because it leaves just enough space around the map to tack other things, like notes or to store your unused map tacks.

The map delivered with currier by international shipping. It was very fast relatively. The package was perfect. Inside Amazon carton box was long plastic cylinder. The map was rolled inside this cylinder.I wanted a large wall map that I can hang. Also I liked the map will be detailed as possible. I think this map met my requests. The background color of mainland is bright, state borders well marked and labeled. The mainroads an highways well seen. The moutains on the west side shadowed and have real good looks too. I happy with the orderThe disadvantage of this map, and the reason for 4 of 5 stars is that the map is very thin and not laminated. When tears of water falled on the map, the paper immidiatly became Transparent and wrinkled. It dissapeared when it got dry up. But If it is not thick enough for field ( continent map in the field?) It could be laminated.I I tugged the map with pins into two thin planks, threaded a piece of string, and hung the map on the wall.overall I'm happy with it.

I really like the fact that the map has a plastic coating so you can outline highway routes and easily make changes. It also covers most of the major roadways in the US.

Only thing I don't like about it is it's out of date by about 5 years

I wanted a large wall map that showed many roads clearly as I wanted to highlight the multiple bicycle trips my buddy and I have taken including the current multi-year cross country trek. It's an attractive map and made of thicker paper so a black Sharpie line shows up well on it. I mounted it on a corkboard with a layer of poster paper underneath making for a good surface and I used colored pins for the start and finish points of each ride. I'm very pleased with this map and my buddy thinks it's "really cool".
