Wonderful Light for Performing!
I've had this light for almost six months now, and I absolutely love it! It gives off a great and even amount of light (on the cooler side of the spectrum, but not horribly so), wide enough to use for music books without being a distraction to audiences in performances. (It also has a hood along the lower edge of the light to help shield the light from audiences, and that also works well.) It has a decently strong clip as well, so I've never had any issues with the grip slipping on my stand. The battery life is wonderful even when I have the light on the high setting (which I often do, because my eyesight is terrible). I have now used this light to play three multi-weekend musical productions, and it easily gets me through entire tech-week rehearsals and shows (about 3-5 hours each) without me having to plug it in. This is a good thing, because the cord for this charger is NOT long enough to have it plugged in while using it on your stand. So I just make sure I take it home and charge it between rehearsals/shows, and I'm good to go. Bright side: in a pit orchestra, it's one less cable to potentially trip over! The charger has a strange little happy-face light on the side of it as a status indicator of charge--red when it's still charging, and green once it's fully charged. Depending on who you ask, it's either adorable or creepy, but either way it's definitely useful. And it's also saved my butt when I plugged it into a power strip at a venue and the complete lack of light on that charger told me the power to the strip was in fact cut off. My only complaint about the charger is that the fit of the cable into the base of the light is kind of loose after using it a few times, but as long as I make sure there's no strain on the cord between the charger and the light when I go to charge it, I don't have any problems.Overall, this is a fantastic product, and well worth the price I paid for it (which was about $20 less than what I would've had to pay for the Mighty Bright that I had almost bought instead). I am a happy customer!

Great for dimly lit venues
Charged this up & used it on my music stand at rehearsal the day it arrived. The LEDs are nice & bright & I really like the 2 levels of brightness. The gooseneck feature is great, too. I was able to aim it at my music (I play keyboard) and visibility was much better.

Amazing for the price/ didn't last but cust svc replaced
I'm really surprised to like this so much! It's not as much light as a Lampcraft Fermata, but that has a narrow beam, and I end up needing two of them, then 2x4AA rechargeable batteries and chargers for them so a total of around 100 dollars, and have to take out the batteries to charge every time.Instead -This is so simple, just plug it in after every rehearsal, and it is enough light and covers two full orchestral pages. So now I end up using this all the time instead of the two Fermatas.Love the smiley face on the charger that turns from red to green when it is charged! My favorite gig light. March 2017===========So now Nov 2017 I bought a second one, and they have changed it some. The clip case has a raised lip around it that helps avoid accidental turning on while carrying -good.. The clip, while sitting higher, clips more securely - good. The LED color is just a little different - I like it better, but the beam is slightly narrower, leaving shadows at edge of The pages. My favorite light.===============UPDATE one year later - after using it an average of once a week for orchestra gigs, the charging receptacle in the light has gotten an intermittent connection, getting worse every time I try to charge so that now I'm not sure I will be able to charge it at all. Trying to decide whether to risk another of these or try another brand...UPDATE -saw 1 year warranty and contacted customer service. They attempted to convince me it was the power cord, but then did replace the whole lamp.. They no longer have the smiley face LED charger. It is a slightly longer plain USB cord and AC plug in transformer that has a red to green status light on that, so to see charge status, I have to use their AC adapter, not an available USB source. Not a problem to me - and it works well. This is still my go-to gig light.

Best deal out there for music lights!
I am an educated consumer and do my homework before purchasing. I read the reviews and shop around. I bought this lamp in September 2019 but decided to wait at least half a year before reaching any conclusions. It is now nine months later and I am happy to report that I have no criticisms, whatsoever.I considered the bigger and more expensive models, but focused on the following (in no particular order):• Reasonable price;• Cordless (comes with detachable cord and charger);• Rechargeable (uses lithium rechargeable battery that recharges via USB-adapter like what you use for the iPhone cord);• Long lasting;• Bright light that doesn’t add color;• Portable and lightweight;• Adjustable;• Padded so that it wouldn’t harm the music stand on my piano;• Easy to use.I read the negative reviews, too, which in this case seem to relate to individual issues having nothing to do with the overall product.I often play my piano in the evenings with very little ambient light, for a particular kind of mood; without a music stand light, it would be virtually impossible for me to be able to read the music in front of me with my 64-year old eyes. But, I did not want a big light; on the contrary, I wanted something that would illuminate only the music on the music stand (not the rest of the room). This lamp does everything I had hoped for and has been 100% reliable.Bottom line? At $16, this light is not just a bargain, it is unbeatable.

A universal charger would = 5 stars
Great sturdy light with no shadows for any musician. Two brightness levels to choose from. Easily illuminates all the music on your stand unlike other lights with a narrower beam.Gets 4 stars for one solid reason.... Needs its own dedicated charger. Almost everything else in my life uses a micro usb or a C charger but if I am packing this light, I need to remember it's very own special charger.
