weather upgrade
Had a minimal sensor AcuRite and placed the outside sensor in the shade but weather is such a big thing in Tucson I added an upgrade and the sensor is in the sun with a wind speed. Set up was EASY and put both on channel C added batteries and it worked . Using to compare to the other the inside is very close and the in sun temps is up a few degrees. I LOVE the black background- the other lite up the roommate night but that's OK both are cool the combo is priced right, good quality and accurate so far-plus easy to set up

Pretty good with minor issues
Good looking unit. Easy to read at 10 feet with display area about 5" x 4.5". Not so much at an angle. Needs to be plugged-in to read easily. Like the calibration feature for temp and humidity and uncluttered useful info. Don't like that it's not atomic and the constantly changing bar graph is really annoying and inaccurate. Would also have liked the daily hi/low readings constantly displayed rather than pushing a button.

Works as advertised...
This is a neat item for weather watchers; easy to set up and accurate with data presented in an easy to read format.

Most Works Well
The temperature and humidity work great, but the anemometer is pretty useless. With winds 30 to 40 mph, it has never registered more than 9 mph in the year I've had it.

Finally, one that shows dew point always
I had other weather stations that only showed the dew point until you reached certain temps, then it switched to heat index or wind chill, this one will show it all the time if you want. I love the extra features over some others I've had before like seeing not only the day high and low, but also the months high/low and all time high/low. I had a receiver for an older model Acurite 3 in 1, and it works off of the sensor as well, so anyone who is wondering if you can use more than one receiver for this, it's possible. Now I keep my older one upstairs in my bedroom and this main one in the kitchen. The screen is very bright with adjustable brightness, very easy to read.

Inaccurate readings...Disappointed
My review on the AccuRite 00622 Pro Color Weather Station is mixed. I'll start with the packaging. The item arrived in the manufacturers box, which was thin cardboard material, and covered in dust. It was not packaged in standard Amazon over pack protection. Upon opening the box, all of the materials were present including instructions. Set up was simple. The entire unit requires 10 AA batteries (4 for the transmitter & 6 for back up of the display). Only 4 are only needed if using the AC adapter plug.Upon completion of set up, I had to reset the display unit to correct faulty readings. I found later that the reset button did not work. The pressure and humidity readings are also extremely inaccurate. Both readings were continuously higher than true measured readings from known accurate source. As an example, the barometric pressure reading on the AccuRite was 30.15 while known readings were 29.85. The humidity reading was 99% when actual was 83%. The known readings were from my next door neighbor who works for the NOAA , and has his own monitoring station. Additionally, the historical readings will not stop cycling through. I tried to get them to stop on one of the three readings, but was unable to do so. Again, the reset button didn't work. I found that the selector buttons on the face of the display were loose / flimsy and appeared cheaply made.I'm disappointed with this unit, and have returned the item.

Great weather station
This is my third AcuRite station I've bought over the past 10 years, only because of weather related issues with the outside units. My last one two weeks ago was struck by baseball sized hail that broke off one of my wind scoops. Luckily, even with the new outside unit, my other previous inside monitors still pick it up, so now I have three monitors of all sorts in my house. I do like the color monitor with this new unit. I'm not sure why people say they can't read theirs from different angles because I plugged mine in and can read it perfectly from all angles. It also looks good and is easier to read when the room is dark.
