Great OEM replacement. A bear to get to on my vehicle.
I bought this to replace the one on my 2002 Ford Taurus SEL sedan. It has had the gas cap light keep coming on the dashboard. My ODB reader had several possibilities to remedy this problem, and this was the last one I have tried. For others looking, the gas cap, a different purge valve canister, and various vacuum lines can throw this/these same code(s). All of these other solutions I have tried. The light has still come on after about 80-100 miles of driving and after the codes have been cleared. I have no reason to believe that this replacement part is faulty, and that is why I mentioned the light coming back on along with the listing of what I have tried. On this particular vehicle, this part is extremely difficult to get to. I can do minor work myself. If you are mechanically inclined, you can probably do this yourself, but I had to have a mechanic install it for me. He said the hard part was getting to it, but the installation itself was not too bad. This brand of OEM replacement parts seems to be reliable, and this seems well made. It was less a lot less expensive than what I found at some auto parts stores, including the ones that usually have discounted prices. Hope this helps someone decide on this part.

If it says guarantee fit, may not be true.
If you are buying this for a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport like me, this is the wrong one. You’re going to need the one with the 90 degree elbow. Says guaranteed fit but this wasn’t true.
