Jane Eyre (Flame Tree Collectable Classics) Hardcover – Unabridged, March 15, 2020

It’s little, cute, and a great addition!

It is such a pretty book. I didn’t realize the edges were going to be gold and that there was a book mark ribbon on it but I am very happy about it. The pages do feel pretty thin but I think it’s fine.Update: I love the book itself but being halfway through I am definitely not that into the story compared to others of the same author.

Absolutely gorgeous book! Just pay attention to the product dimensions (it’s small).

Note that the edition I am reviewing is the Flame Tree publishing. This edition of Jane Eyre looks lovely and it is my first classic book. It is the size of a mass-market book, that of a historical romance novel, for those who have read them. However, reading font is smaller, approximately 10 point font, but still readable. The size is ideal for carrying around in my bag because I do not read classics on kindle. Though it is compact enough to add to a small library due to space. A brief flip through of this book seems to indicate an unabridged edition although it’d be best to make comparison to other edition. Thus, my favorites are the size and contents. Onto the craftsmanship...Quality of the book is fair from some glaring imperfections, such as uneven pages, minor dings on the cover, and misaligned endpapers. Binding felt a little unstable, which some tacky glue will keep in place. Construction of this book, the ease of flipping is delicate of that of a squeaky box, but not fall apart.For the price, it may be worth buying for the looks of it as well as unabridged. however, quality could be better, and not feel rushed; mostly quality control is the issue.I do not think this edition is ideal to collect classics; perhaps a few favorite classics would suffice. I like this cover enough that is worthy of keeping, though I would obtain/reread Jane Eyre from a different edition.Otherwise, there are some editions that are as aesthetic as this one.

Beautiful book, but it is very small.

Super pretty on the bookshelf but tiny! I’m going to have to squint a little and read around my thumb! 😆 You can’t tell in the picture but I have super small hands. I compared it with two other books for reference. It is a very pretty book though.

Beautiful, gorgeous book and cover, but too small for those that get eye strain. If only it were a normal size I would have kept it.
