Just as described. Seems to be well-made. Installed easily. The prior lock was quite old and no longer working properly.

The lock is very durable and has a great polished finished look. Looks great on my all black front door.

This is an affordably priced lock that makes a great night latch. I bought mine as a warehouse deal, and it came with what looks like someone's old destroyed keyed lock rather than a newish lock. Corkscrewed post, worn paint smear, key broken off in the lock. Someone should check these things when they come back. I just ordered it as a Jimmy-proof night latch, the lock would have been an extra to have on hand for a different door, so I'm not returning it.

I am very glad I went ahead and bought this lock. My back door is old and too thin for a traditional deadbolt lock and I felt it was not secure enough. I was worried I would not be able to install it myself but actually I did very well. It really wasn't hard. Just follow the instructions exactly.I got white so it would blend in with the door and it looks fine. I did have to use a chisel to carve out the molding that is on the wall around the door so the part that the goes on there would fit flush. My molding is not flat. I used a small chisel and went very slow and tried to be accurate.If you have flat molding, you probably would not have to do that.

I am not sure what the price of a quality lock is or how long it should last, so I am not sure how helpful this review is. The material is cheap. Example, screws tore through the thin metal piece that holds the key mechanism in place. In general, IN MY OPINION, things are not very good quality these days. The locking mechanism is working so far, I am grateful for that; let's see how long it lasts-the last one broke within two years.

I replaced my rear door due to many robberies in the neighborhood. Installing the lock was straightforward, but I had to shim the strike plate. I used the free 1/8" wood paint stirrer from Home D.Couple of items I did not like....when I finished installing the door lock, I used the keys to ensure the keys turned the locking mechanism correctly. When turning, I can feel the key started to bend slightly. Another issue is that some standard screws were very short. I fear someone can kick the door and the entire door hardware would fall apart so I used 3" special contractor star screw head.

Very nice design lock, i like it.....easy to install.
