A-Premium Rear Window Lift Supports Shock Struts Replacement for Chevrolet Suburban Tahoe Yukon Cadillac 2000-2006 2-PC Set

Most would state this can be a solo project…. For the glass lift on the tailgate it was. The biggest issue I had with these is the heads are not on so you have to put them on yourself. I didn’t notice this when putting them together and only after my old ones were off and I was holding the glass with my shoulder on a stepladder (5’3” on a good day) did I realize they were on wrong. The other side was already partially on since I placed that after taking off that strut. They otherwise popped on quickly after the small mistake. I then afterwards realized I don’t think the glass ones ever worked right in it entire lifetime (only owner) as that glass never went up and stayed up.The lift gate welp I tried this first. Never as a short person attempt this feat on your own. I was able to take off the first one went to replace it and realized it needed to be lifted higher than the other strut. I messaged a friend. Attempt two… My friend just south of 6 feet tried to prop the thing up so the weight would rest on the prop. Down came the prop with my strut off and his almost off. I just had him hold the gate as that was my true need. He had to lift it up higher but once the first was put in place the second one was just as easy to put on.My lift gates struts were the original ones for the vehicle and this was my first attempt at removing and replacing them. I have changed struts on other vehicles many moons ago so I walked in with a smidge of an understanding, problem was that was a vehicle where my height didn’t matter (mustang).So recommendations for the people who want to replace them themselves figure out how to depress them or get someone to just hold your lift hat who can lift it slightly higher than it needs to go.The glass replacement took maybe all of 15 minutes max. The tailgate took maybe 5 minutes with a second person.I used a flathead screwdriver to pop the springs on the tailgate but for the glass I had to switch to a small Swiss army knife since my screwdriver was too big.Biggest concern I had is my vehicle falls at the cusp year of models and therefore most supplies only stat for the previous year model.We will see how these due. As I said the original ones lasted me close to 20 years (tailgate only got tempermental in the last few months) so I gotta say I’m doing good. Fingers crossed these will be the same

Fast delivery. Item as described. Super easy install. They work great like the new ones when I bought my 2002. When you pull on lever of back hatch they power hatch up to fully open. No more remembering to push it all the way up so head doesn’t hit.

Like new! I should have done this a while ago. It took about 5 minutes to do the tailgate and the back window. Just remove clips on the old ones with a flat head screw driver and pop these in and done. So far the quality is great!

The quality is good and the fitment was excellent. It was easy to replace and it has good support and it didn’t make any noise and it’s good durability.

My old ones gave up so I bought these. They work very well. The quality seems good. Very stiff which is very good because my back door is very heavy. I have had them for a while now and no signs of failure. Good product
