Some tactical pens, honestly MOST tactical pens, are ridiculously overpriced. To me paying anything over $20 for one borders on ridiculousness. This pen, for the price (ESPECIALLY if you can get it closer to the $13 price point vs. $20 - and I've seen it move between those two points within 24 hours) is an amazing value.Pen is heftier than I expected- in a good way. It feels solid, strong and tank like in hand. A quick twist of the bottom and you're writing and writing smoothly at that. Comes well packed with an additional ink cartridge and the cartridges are a common brand that are easily found and inexpensive.Has a glass breaker point on the top and, while I didn't test it, I can tell you that how many of us actually might need to break glass but I'll say this pen as heavy as it is in any persons hand and swung at an assailant is definitely going to be felt and could be a very useful and go anywhere basic self defense item. Is it a knife? No. But like I said, especially for a woman or someone that works in an office where they don't think they can get away with packing a pocket knife (I work in one and have two designed to kill knives on me at all times but not everyone is comfortable with that or can get away with it) having this pen can't hurt.We'll see with time how the finish wears- some of these finishes look like crap after awhile and some wear and look in some respects better so who knows. I will say sitting on ones desk or clipped in ones pocket the pen looks amazing and it a nice conversation piece as well.In short- simply a fantastic pen for a fantastic price. For $20 it's a good deal, for $13 or $14? It's a no brainer- you might even do well to buy multiples either for you or as gifts- these would make GREAT gifts especially for grads or colleagues at the office.5 stars and highly recommended.

This Tactical Pen is great quality and is very nice feel for the hand comes with one cartridge in the chamber and 2 refills the fact this is $10 is almost to good to be true but I decided to give it a try and it surpassed my expectations considering you can pay close to this at your local Walmart for a 5 pack of quality pens that once out of ink are garbage this is tactical so that is forever I believe it will stand the test of time and he t has 3 ink cartridges this pays for itself 3x over.If I find any flaws I will update*Update the actual writing pen isn't good not smooth so your buying it for the tactical part

Great pen that writes well but is handier than a regular pen. Feels very solid in my hand and though I haven’t tried to break any glass yet I have no doubt it will. I bought 3 of these for my kids who fly frequently. I wanted them to have something they could take traveling. I don’t know if it will pass through carry on but if not at least they will have something they can carry while they wander around the world. I like the black matte better than the red. I would love it in a girlie color like teal or fuschia for all the girls in my family.Also it would be really nice if they had tiny led lights in the 4 indentions around the window breaking tip. I dont want all that other stuff that come on the one with a light but if they added led lights to this one it would be more useful and simple to use.

Man, this thing rocks! I would not want to bring it to a gun fight, but it is damn sturdy and I can tell it can take a beat down of over size proportions and still function. I cannot think of a realistic scenario that would seriously damage this pen. I would rather this in my hand than just my fist as it can be used in multiple ways to inflict serious pain and maybe create a opportunity to get away.It is big, so its not like a regular pen that flies under the radar. It writes fine, but nothing can help my lack of penmanship. Its a damn fine pen and I cannot imagine a reasonable person being disappointed in this product.

This pen not only looks amazing, but it is surprisingly light-weight and ergonomic. I was initially concerned that such a bulky pen was going to be more useful as a novelty rather than as a serious writing implement, but those concerns quickly disappeared when i started writing. The pen is very comfortable in the hand and nimble. I like to write in cursive and this pen easily flows on the page. So far the ink cartridge is smooth and consistent, and the pen comes with a spare ink cartridge which is cool.I am military with years of experience writing in the field in various operational environments using different kinds of writing implements with different types of gloves. Although I have not yet used this pen with gloves on, I can tell that it will be quite easy to use in the field with gloves. And the sturdy construction leaves no doubt that his pen would be quite durable in the toughest conditions, even combat conditions.I highly recommend this pen to anyone looking for a sturdy field pen or looking for a unique, functional writing implement for around the office. I know that I will be buying more of these.

I have a collection of these pens. The fit in your hand better than the thin pens we grew up with. It's a solid pen. I haven't used the glass breaker, but it has a nice point to it.

Pen is too light in weight.For the price, you get what you pay for.
