I am not sure what is different about this cable BUT if you have devices that seem to not be working like cameras, usb mics, etc. I would say get this cable and solve your problems. I had a Samson Q2U usb mic that I thought stopped working and also have a Canon T3i that was working and then stopped working when attached to my PC. I had tried three different random cables I had lying around with the mic and the camera.I tried this on 3 different devices laptop, desktop, and my iPad Air w/ usb adapter. No-go on all. Super frustrated now.As I was putting camera back in bag I seen the very short usb cable that came with the Canon. I decided to try it...BOOM BABY.. I was back in business. Tried the little cable with the mic and it worked too. Tried little cable with iPad Air and mics were detected.So I decided to scoop this longer cable up from Amazon, everything works perfect. It is thicker cable than the random ones I had lying around and seems to be very good quality.

I bought this because i needed a cord to get photos from my camera to my computer and it worked great. It was long and fit perfectly. you can tell that it was built good because it felt nice and sturdy and didn’t feel cheaply made. would definitely recommend if you need a cord like this because of the cost and performance.

A lot of people were saying that this cord didn't work for the Canon cameras even though it says it does. Let me cut straight to the case. It ended up working for my REBEL T100 and it might for yours with one simple step. Turn off (Disable) the Wi-Fi on your camera. Boom. Just like that It worked.I tried everything to get this cord to work for mines and nothing worked. I googled troubleshooting questions and turning off the Wi-Fi was one of them and it worked. Returned Canceled!

Used the cord to upload 20 yr old mo3?files from and old plate. Worked great.

I was so disappointed when the Canon sureshot & Rebel T7 DID NOT come with this cable to transfer photos to a pc. Thank God for Amazon! I found this for both cameras and when I got it and found it fits, I was AWESOMELY pleased! THANK YOU!!!

Worked great in my camera. Replacement cord seems to be of good quality & durable.

I use this for hooking my camera up to my PC to remote control it for macro photography, and upon arrival it had a short somewhere near the end that hooks into the camera so I need to have a popsickle stick taped to it to keep it from constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. Pretty annoying for it to have that right out of the box.
